    Author was just generalizing.

    My son

Probably a false convert. Pray for him and continue to witness to him.

    When to change churches?

Look I love my church. Strong on the DOG and a strong Calvinist church. However I completely disagree with their evangelism theology. Should I change churches? Of coarse not because I have nothing biblical against them. Far more biblical support for contact evangelism over friendship evangelism...

    The soul winners fire

Just finished this book by John R Rice which I recommend others to read. Not too long and written at an easy to understand level. I read it for motivational purposes. By my experience on this board it appears most here embrace the less biblical method known as friendship evangelism. Don't but...

    When to change churches?

That voice may be subjective. If the Holy Spirit is speaking to someone about changing churches then He will back it up with scripture. Far too many in this day and age think that they hear God tell them to do this and to do that, but its not backed up with scripture and its just themselves...

    The Shack

The book published in 2007 has turned into a movie due to its huge popularity. I see that on amazon the book has received more than 12,000 reviews 75% of which are 5 star reviews. This book is heretical and I DO NOT plan to watch the movie. Sad to say the state of the church which is loaded with...

    When to change churches?

Yes. Church is too far to drive. Doctrinal issues. Biblical issues.

    The book was generalizing.

    Gluttony

Old Baptist church had a ton of these. They were prohibitionists.

    Gluttony

Am reading this book "What would Jesus drink?" And the author has made a good point. Why do Prohibitionists condemn any consumption of alcohol yet completely ignore the sin of gluttony? Believe me the author spent an entire chapter condemning drunkenness and in the current chapter I am on has...

Dr. Joel McDurmon--What would Jesus drink?

Just started reading this book. Has anyone read it? Is this professor credible? I know nothing about him.

    DA CARSON

    I meant the shepherds conference.

    DA CARSON

Oh that's why. That must also be why Chan is never invited. I know why he does not invite people like Lutzer, Jeremiah, and others is because they are not Calvinist.

    DA CARSON

Does anyone know why MacArthur does not invite him to the Shepherds Conferences? CARSON is Reformed as I recall.

    The NIV 2011 edition

    Just use the keyboard....

    The NIV 2011 edition

Just bought it for $15. Much cheaper than the $50 for the bonded leather print edition. It looks very good so far.

If you could only have ONE Study Bible?

I bought the iBooks version for $15 so much cheaper than if I had bought it in print. Looks pretty good so far and it looks to give the ESV SB a challenge.
