Jon, I don't know what to say but to dress for the occasion. Wear shorts and a t-shirt to a backyard bbq, would you wear that to your daughters wedding, I don't think so. It's just common sense. If you go to a ball game, wear jeans and a t-shirt, would you wear that to a funeral of a loved...

If those musicians in the video you posted had a heart for God they would be ashamed to present themselves in such manner. But I can understand why they're not ashamed, you a professing believer in Christ can't even see it.

Ok, I think I get it.

Ok, show the same respect to the Lord as you would a football game, or a backyard cookout. As for me, I will wear my best to the house of the Lord.

Our pastor tell new members to honor the Lord with the best they have, show respect to the One who gave Himself for you. Our pastor does not enforce a dress code, he leaves that to conviction of the soul and heart.

Jon, I could be mistaken here, but I remember someone saying, (thinking it was you) they wear shorts and t-shirt to Church.

You can't humble youself to something you don't respect. They work together, respect and humility in presenting yourself before the Lord.

Personally I believe the Lord deserves the best we can afford. I have several suits I've bought through the years, average price $300.

Is that why some employers require a suit and tie for a job interview? For worldly pride?

Here you go, Jon, this is how I normally dress for Church. Notice the facial hair, I don't assist in the services so I have, or had at that time some facial hair. I have never cared for ties, but at times I wear one.

What is wrong with you, Jon, you know better than this. The outer appearance reflects the inner, it's about respect, humbling ones self. I don't always wear a suit and tie to Church. But may appearance is well within the bounds of respect for our Lord. I'm beginning to think you have no...

When I go to a Church service I see it as presenting myself before the Lord in faith, honoring Him as my Savior. It's not a social thing for me, although I do socialize with the Brethren. But first and foremost I am presenting myself before the Lord with respect.

Yes sir, he most definitely would be allowed to give his testimony, we would love for him do so.

Ok, we see it differently. In my Church that appearance with the t-shirts, head bands, the general appearance of the world would be allowed in Church services. But with some strong preaching on respect toward the Lord. No way would that look make it to the platform to perform. We've had it...

That worldly appearance and rebellion is the ruin of the Church. Thank God there are still come Godly Churches left that will not allow that mockery to take place in the worship of our Lord.

No, you're e not pressing me, Scarlett. You can speak freely with me, that's no problem. If the outward appearance is rebellion in symbol, what is truly in the heart?

Rebellion is written all over it. It's fake worship, there is no separation from the world in it, it is the ways of the world trying mix with the ways of the Lord and it is rejected.

Yea, that's exactly what we need leading our worship services. Only one word comes to mind, "blasphemy."

Look at yourself, Jon. That's what rebellion looks like.
