    Elopement--Is it a sin?

We do not have bible evidence that Hosea's parents were against the marriage. For all we know they trusted Hosea because he was a prophet, or for all we know the Lord showed them as well that he was to marry her. So if anyone is using that as a basis for their belief on this then it really...

    Answer To Passover Comments

Herod would have had no reason to wait until the Passover ended to bring Peter forth as some suggest. Jesus was brought forth to the people during the Passover and the Jews eagerly demanded Him to be crucified.

Did the Apsotles record doem exactly what was said, or the Gist of it?

Matthew 4:4 Man shall live by the gist of what proceeds out of the mouth of God? Nope it says every word. I believe they wrote down his exact words, I don't believe it was the gist. maybe shorter or condensed. But I don't believe they just put the gist.

    Answer To Passover Comments

There is no doubt that "Πάσχα" means Easter in modern Greek. The charge, however, is that "Πάσχα" did not mean Easter until centuries after the composition of Acts 12:4. This is not true. In the Gospel of John there is already a distinction being made between the Christian Πάσχα and the...

    Answer To Passover Comments

Whether "Πάσχα" should be Passover or Easter at Acts 12:4 must be determined by discerning who is using the word in this instance. If the word is used by a Jew, then the word would mean Passover. If the word is used by Herod, then the word would mean Passover or perhaps a pagan festival...

    Answer To Passover Comments

except that contradicts scripture. Why would it please the Jews to have Jesus killed during the Passover, but it would displease them to kill Peter during the passover. That's contradictory and doesn't make sense. Yes Pilate is not the same person as Herod Agrippa, But that does not mean the...
