    To Keep Schumer Happy

There is nothing vindictive about it. All children reap what their parents sow. That's by God's design. Parents who invest time and money in their children's education and early career development have children who typically reap a wonderful bounty because of what their parents have done. On the...

    If "Any Man" Thirst

May I ask, is "Pastor Bob" a nickname or are you actually an under-shepherd of God's people?

Total Inability in the Gospel of John

The problem is that you insist on a simplistic and literalistic interpretation which prevents you from comprehending what is actually being said. Mark 1:5 "And there went out to him ALL the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem and were ALL baptized in the river Jordan" Were all people...

Is Christianity Accessible to All People?

We are indeed saved by a "life's work". Christ lived a life of perfect obedience to the Law. Through faith we are joined to Him and rest in His work.

You said this: If "all people" means without exception, and that's the way that you've presented it, then you are a Universalist. Since I understand that some people will be saved and others not, which is a very clear idea across many passages, I don't throw that out of the window by a...

Calvinism vs Arminianism? Why either/or? Why not both?

Very edifying and emotionally mature debate going on here. . .

Is Christianity Accessible to All People?

Thanks for clearly stating your position, but obedience to the Law + faith = salvation is something that the Apostle Paul spent his Christian life fighting against. Half of the NT vehemently condemns such an idea.

    If "Any Man" Thirst

It's far worse than I thought. Nevermind.

Is Christianity Accessible to All People?

This is a quote from you: If that does not equal faith + works = salvation, please tell us how.

Is Christianity Accessible to All People?

Yes. For example: "If my people. . .and I will heal their land".

Is Christianity Accessible to All People?

Most non-Cals speak as if the entire population of the Earth for the past 2,000 years has lived in an environment very similar to Nashville, TN, with TV evangelists, and church on every corner, Bibles on every bookshelf and Christian neighbors on every side.

Is Christianity Accessible to All People?

    That wasn't a compliment.

Not really. Are you a Universalist?

Calvinism vs Arminianism? Why either/or? Why not both?

A poor excuse for their rebellion against God.

Calvinism vs Arminianism? Why either/or? Why not both?

This is so huge a point that it must be repeated. At the end of the day, the non-Cal's assurance is as fragile as a spider web because it rests on himself and his actions. Lovely picture.

Is Christianity Accessible to All People?

I think that you are reading Romans 10:18 a bible literalisticly.

    "Good" Illegal Immigrants?

All people who have entered the US illegally or who have "overstayed" visas have committed criminal acts; therefore, there are no "good" illegal immigrants. Good people who want a better life for themselves or their children don't commit crimes in order to obtain their goal. We need to deport...

Calvinism vs Arminianism? Why either/or? Why not both?

Truth is always worth fighting for.

    When did regeneration occur?

Yes. "The real deal", which means the emphasis of your "gospel" is the strength of a man's faith, while a Calvinist understands that it's not man's faith but the object of his faith, which is why there is a P in TULIP.

    If "Any Man" Thirst

If you can't see the obvious problem with your logic in the above, how will you understand anything of complex theological concepts regarding the salvation of men?
