Do I believe that God is a genocidal maniac like Hitler? No, never! Do you?

Personal attacks are not permitted here as I recall. The child concerned was dying. He wasn't killed. And it was the courts that made the decision not the State

Not all of it; some though is clearly allegory and meant to be read that way. You can take it all seriously or you can take it all literally but not both.

    I've just said I don't support abortion.

I don't believe in that kind of god: the first sentence of your paragraph above is utterly at odds with the rest of it. No being who orders the killing of babies is coming anywhere near my children, whether that's the abortioner or your version of god.

You'll have to ask David what he meant by hisbisage of it on the other thread but what i meant is where one's expression of faith is polluted by the values of this world, specifically for American Christians where how they live out their faith has more to do with the American Way of Life than...

I cited the Edict of Milan as Constantine seems to be a bête noir for many Baptists for linking Church and State and Establishing Christianity as a state religion (actually it was Theodosius but most seems to have forgotten that). Weaponry types are irrelevant. Simple question: name a Christian from the birth of the Church in Acts to Constantine who practised or advocated physical violence even when s/he or his/her family were on the receiving end of violence

Except...I can't find a single pre-Constantine example of a Christian resisting evil physically in the way some advocate here. I'm not saying I could live up to that standard. But to claim that violence is justifiable based on Christian behaviour between the NT and the Edict of Milan seems a...

This is a very unregenerate form of Christianity as David Kent said being put forward by you on this thread.
