If you are talking about the Babylonian Exile then, sure, I'd agree: the prophecies surrounding it are laced with hints of restoration. Not so though the Scriptural predictions of the destruction of the Second Temple in 70AD: Jesus in particular offers no crumbs of comfort when He points forward...

Yes, that's an interesting slant that I've come across before, to which can be added that the Ashkenazi Jews who form such a large part of post-1948 Israeli stock have as much if not more in common genetically with the Turkic Khazars as they do with OT Israelites... It's much more of a muddle...

In that case it should go back to the Jebusites then! There's no logic to any of these arguments. People should be free to live where they want on land they've paid a fair price for in an arm's length transaction between a willing buyer and a willing seller; anything else is theft.

The Latest: Senator says Franken expected to resign Thursday

And....he's gone. Now when is Trump going to do the same for the same reason?

There weren't any Christians around then either. What's your point?

That's a discussion you'll have to have with the US government; certainly you should be compensated for its loss

No. Pre-1948 Palestine was their home. Why the heck should they move as a result of ethnic cleansing, anymore than your people should have moved as the result of Jackson's ethnic cleansing?

There was no 'Israel' back then.

I have. Their home according to whom? I don't believe any of them signed up to it. Sounds like the racist 'treaties' pertaining to the Native Americans. It's racism. No one calling himself a Christian should have anything to do with it.

No, basic Christian orthodoxy; a darn sight better than the Christian Zionist heresy. Yes they are: the State of Israel is a secular republic, not a theocracy

Not really: 85% of the non-Jewish population of Mandate Palestine were forced to leave their homes during the war establishing the State of Israel in 1948. They have as much right to live there as you or I do in our homes. What gives you the right to deny them that right?

Your post makes a number of erroneous assumptions: 1. That the secular state of Israel founded in 1948 is identified with the theocratic Kingdom of Israel that ended in 722/ 586 BC - there are a number of significant differences 2. That the OT prophecies relating to the said theocratic Kingdom...

Typical narcissistic aggressive posturing by Trump: does something that he knows will annoy the Palestinians and then demands that they react calmly to it. BTW, no-one is allowed to react angrily to this post, unless you officially declare a Day of Rage about it ;-)
