    Christology and Preterism

    Use “race” where “generation” appears in these verses: Matthew 1:17; 11:16; 12:39, 41, 42, 45; 16:4; 17:17; Mark 8:12, 38; 9:19; 13:30; Luke1:48, 50; 7:31; 9:41; 11:29, 30, 31, 32, 50, 51; 16:8; 17:25; 21:32.

    Christology and Preterism

Literally it can't be who that pierce them either. Today's Jewish people didn't literally peirce him. Then literally it can't be at hand. Or coming quickly. Or coming soon. Or this generation. Or the people standing here will not taste death. What's literal and what's not?

    Christology and Preterism

I meant the pre trib premillennial side. I do not know exactly what historical chilliast is. Besides that most of them thought 6000 years would pass and the 7th would be the Sabbath? My apologies if I said your side meaning historical chilliast. I didn't mean exactly that.

    Christology and Preterism

I dont see the "second coming" as happening in AD 70. We have different views on what the Second coming is. Like I said, Im not a complete preterist, I have not read/learned enough to make any conclusions on revelation. If Jesus shows up splits the mountain in two, and every one in the world...

The bigger question is how did the kangaroos get to australia after the flood, and why isn't there any fossils of them anywhere else?

    Christology and Preterism

Thanks for the laugh. But actually after being on here I've actually grown in my belief in that "view" I said neither. Is this multiple choice with no right answer? I said his coming in ad 70 was just prophect language about judgement on a nation. Does Jesus praying to God if he is God deny...

    Christology and Preterism

This is not how we see it. Your making a question multiple choice with no right answer.
  20. P

    Christology and Preterism

Neither. The same way God did in the OT? Its Hebraic prophetic idiom used by the prophets to foretell the downfall of nations and individuals by God in history. It is uniquely apocalyptic and hyperbolic in nature. So also Christ, being of this well-known prophetic tradition, used the same...
