    Credit Cards

For someone such as yourself and Salty, agreed. For someone who was never taught about financial management, and/or has no financial self-discipline, it's a method of introducing that self-discipline. As with other things - works for some, but not all.

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

So there is more than one way? So in other words, Rev was right. Look, I'm really not sticking up for Rev, as much as it might seem like it. Instead, I'm pointing out your black-and-white statements that sound like you're saying there's only one way to really witness to others--when, as...

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

Don't assume that I haven't -- but I won't tell you whether I have or haven't until you answer the question.

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

I disagree. Are you baptizing, as per Matthew 28? If not, then are you truly fulfilling His commandment to teach all nations?

    Hamas's Civilian Death Strategy

The whole point of war is to break down the enemy's willingness to fight. Hamas is winning.

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

THAT'S the verse I've been trying to think of. Thanks! I've found that identifying one particular method over others is similar to the problem with Rick Warren's "Purpose-driven" series: They ignore what you've said here, that each of us have particular gifts, and each recipient needs an...

    The Book of Jonah

Evangelist - so how goes the study on Jonah?

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

More than likely, he led "group prayers", and possibly even prayed for the whole group. Tragic. This is why we say that street evangelism is important; but follow-up discipleship is just as, if not more, important.

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

How does that even apply? Are you saying that someone who's professed Christ wouldn't have anything to do with "death metal"? What's sinful about "death metal"? Have you actually looked at Romans 14? Much less read it?

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

The second comment was in regard to his almost-preaching easy believism. His open air preaching, he can't confirm if anyone really got saved; but he knows for sure that the 10 converts from the easy-believism preaching weren't really saved.

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

You just said that you got saved that way -- but that you also believe it results in false converts. But you're not a false convert? So do those methods see souls saved or not? If they do, then HOW can you condemn *anything* God uses to bring His elect to Him? And thus, you may not like it...

Federal court throws out some Obamacare subsidies

That's an invalid argument. That's a completely invalid argument. You need to try again. You see, your premise with that response is that no bill from Obama would be passed...yet the ACA was passed. Try again. Edited to add: In fact, I'm insulted that you thought so low of my intelligence...

    Bow ties

I don't agree with the comeback...but my 15-year old likes bow ties (probably from watching Dr. Who), and has taught himself how to tie one. Me, only with a tuxedo, and only pre-tied.

Have you actually tried using The Way of the Master?

You disagree with his methods; so how do you feel about anyone who claims salvation by those methods?

    Afghan Interpeters Being Abandoned ?

Careful; are we talking about the current government, or the one from over a hundred years ago? Or are you saying the government hasn't changed, and thus tacitly admitting the Obama administration lies?

Does OSAS mean freedom to keep on sinning then?

NO. And I gotta say, this is a stupid question. Where are you seeing *anyone* preach that once you're saved, you can continue in sin?

Federal court throws out some Obamacare subsidies

Then I guess someone should have taken more time to write a good law, rather than encouraging a senior representative to say "we have to pass it to see what's in it." Agree?

Federal court throws out some Obamacare subsidies

My prediction: The D.C. Appeals Court will meet in full session; and the matter will be decided via partisan politics rather than by the law. After which, the ACA will continue as is. I pray I'm wrong, and that our legal system would actually work...but I'm not optimistic.

Federal court throws out some Obamacare subsidies

The can of worms this court has opened? I submit to you that the can of worms was already opened by the poorly written language of the law! CTB, what exactly are these "worms" of which you speak? That the ACA will be gutted, and people will lose health care insurance? That the economy will...
