Some Thoughts on the Post-Incarnate Christ

Then how do you get past flesh and blood not entering into heaven?

Some Thoughts on the Post-Incarnate Christ

Very true. And how many times do they trot out "reach your hand here, Thomas", as if anyone is denying the physical resurrection.

Some Thoughts on the Post-Incarnate Christ

This was covered in an earlier article. The translation above is faulty, leading to a misconstruction of what Job is actually affirming.. https://asterisktom.wordpress.com/2021/04/09/jobs-resurrection-verse-job-1925-26/ Job’s Resurrection Verse: Job 19:25-26: “For I know that my redeemer...

Some Thoughts on the Post-Incarnate Christ

Another person who hasn't read the article. I am not denying a physical resurrection.

Some Thoughts on the Post-Incarnate Christ

Being human does not require being physical. When a person dies he still has his soul. He is still human. That was the point in the article. When Jesus referred to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob they were still human and alive though, at that time, with no physical bodies.

Some Thoughts on the Post-Incarnate Christ

No one here is denying His physical resurrection.

Some Thoughts on the Post-Incarnate Christ

Jesus certainly had a physical resurrection. If you had read my article you would have seen this.

Some Thoughts on the Post-Incarnate Christ

https://asterisktom.wordpress.com/2026/02/09/some-thoughts-on-the-post-incarnate-christ-2/ I think that we Christians, like everyone else, have a hard time of thinking outside the box. It is very hard to see beyond our own frame of reference. This is why we always need to prayerfully rely on...

    Kuala Lipis, Malaysia

https://thirteenmonthsinchina.wordpress.com/2026/01/17/kuala-lipis/ I forgot to post this first article from Malaysia. This was written before the other article I posted here an hour or two ago. Kuala Lipis, Malaysia This pleasant town is easily on my short list of favorite stays in Malaysia...

Kuala Lipis: Nature & Forgotten Glory

https://thirteenmonthsinchina.wordpress.com/2026/02/04/kuala-lipis-nature-forgotten-glory/ We encountered buildings like the two pictured here, long since “Ichabodded” by time and neglect, and we have lots of questions. Lizards and leaves now litter the floors that once had life. It makes me...

SERMON: The Word of God – a Treasure

SERMON: The Word of God – a Treasure Reading the Bible is, strangely enough, an overlooked topic. Many of us have become skilled and specialized, experts in our chosen “-isms” and “-ologies”. But to lose sight of our Source – and reliance on the essential Spirit who makes it for us much more...

Returning to the Biblical Bema: The Judgment Seat of Christ

Yes, it is a derivative also. I could have used that term and a small number reading this would understand. "Cognate" is more commonly understood in the sense I referred to. Please. This is a quibble. And you are tieing down the meaning of σεμαίνω only to lexicons is insufficient. You need to...

Returning to the Biblical Bema: The Judgment Seat of Christ

Well, that is up to you. You interpret it that way and I will interpret it according to the method encouraged by Rev. 1:1: "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant...

Returning to the Biblical Bema: The Judgment Seat of Christ

SERMON: A Very Different Message from a Very Different Teacher: Matt. 5

This is another sermon that I gave online to a church in Pakistan. Being unsure of their level of understanding - both of their professed faith in Christ and the English of their translator – I tried to keep the address simple. But sometimes it is the simple truths that we tend to forget...

Free PDF Book: Our Good Shepherd

Last month I finished my book of various articles, Our Good Shepherd. My goal and prayer is that this book will be helpful for you. Our greatest security is in realizing in the deepest layer of our heart that Christ truly is our Shepherd, that our faith in Him will not disappoint. PDFs (or...

Returning to the Biblical Bema: The Judgment Seat of Christ

Partially true. But exegesis was certainly involved as well. Also the realization that Revelation is a book with a large percentage of symbolism and metaphors. So the differences, as you say, are just different modes of explaining the same thing.

My answering the third effectively answered the first two also. But, OK, my answer is yes to both.

Returning to the Biblical Bema: The Judgment Seat of Christ

Thank you for not wanting to misrepresent me. I don't get that courtesy from everyone. I believe the two judgments are the same, only described under different terms. Additionally, as far as time is concerned, I believe that there are two applications. There was a great judgment already at the...

Returning to the Biblical Bema: The Judgment Seat of Christ

You miss my point. I am not denying there is also reward. I am only cautioning against thinking that that is all that it is. As I wrote in the article: "The Bema is obviously a place of awesome judgment, and not merely an award ceremony. To be sure, there are awards for the righteous, but it is...
