So you support his remarks:eek:???!!! No way you're coming near my wife or daughter then:mad:

People who don't know where babies come from don't need serve in Congress.

Good that his fellow Republicans are asking him to withdraw. What an offensive little doofus! [ETA - we have our own version on this side of The Pond, only from the Loony Left rather than the Rabid Right: Gorgeous George Galloway, who has spoken up (if that's the right term for it) for his...

Banks, Investors Prepare for Euro Collapse

The Germans were always destined to be the leading lights in Europe. If they hadn't tried it through hard power twice last century they could have achieved it a lot sooner through soft power.

    Surprised it's lasted so long....

    England! Shall I move?

Depends what you mean by 'decent'; the one I used to go to was OK IMO.

Romney in Shambles as Britain Proclaims Him Worse than Sarah Palin

There was a bit of whingeing about it at the start, largely as a result of selfish greedy corporate gits buying up tickets so no-one else can have them and then not turning up, but that seems to have been forgotten largely now. It's the medals that count...

Olympics Opening Ceremonies - Great Pics

I guess the opening ceremony was showcasing Britain hence no mention of the 1972 outrage. There have been discussions about whether to hold a minute's silence later in the Games to mark the 40th anniversary of Munich but I don't know whether any decision has been reached.

Romney in Shambles as Britain Proclaims Him Worse than Sarah Palin

Yes, in a way that has quite surprised me. A lot of that I think is down to the opening ceremony which celebrated the quirky nature of Britishness although I fear a lot of the references would have been lost on non-Brits.

Romney in Shambles as Britain Proclaims Him Worse than Sarah Palin

That he didn't think London was up to holding the Olympics. Not exactly the way to win friends and influence people.

Non sequitur. It's about tact and diplomacy.

Romney in Shambles as Britain Proclaims Him Worse than Sarah Palin

Romney has achieved a rare feat: to unite the British political spectrum against him; in case you think this is just a case of liberal media bias, the Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph are not exactly leftist publications...it certainly doesn't bode well for the Special Relationship if he is elected...

Olympics Opening Ceremonies - Great Pics

The NHS scenes were a dig at our government's healthcare reforms, not a support of Obamacare. But apparently NBC edited out the tribute to the tribute to the 7/7 victims on the grounds that Americans wouldn't understand it! Why? Imagine if it was the New York Olympics andthe BBC had edited...

I'm afraid you're conflating Person with Nature there.

    Mary Sightings in History

Uh...oh! Kenosis deals with this. As a further aside: these questions were answered and settled perfectly well more than 15 centuries ago by Christians; why are (a)they being asked again now and (b) the answers already given so hard to comprehend?

    Mary Sightings in History

That brings us on to another essential feature of the Incarnation: kenosis. Now that is found in the bible: Phil 2:6-8 (v.7). Being careful in steering away from the one Christological heresy of Nestorianism one has always to be careful to avoid falling into the opposite one of...

    Mary Sightings in History

I haven't seen anyone arguing that Mary conceived Christ's deity. What is being said is that Christ's deity along with His humanity was present in Mary's womb from the moment of His conception. Can you not agree that?

The Bible doesn't use the word 'Trinity' either, so maybe we shouldn't.

Thank God for Church Tradition, is all I can say; if these are the sorts of heretical roads that sola Scriptura leads people down, then I really do despair.
