No that's not correct let me correct it. The next day around 3-5 PM He died on the Cross. He was crucified around 6 hours before.

Christ and His disciples ate the Passover the same night He was betrayed by Judas and arrested. The next day around 3-5PM He was crucified. It was the day of preparation for the High Sabbath. So He ate the Passover a full day early.

They were in a hurry to get His body prepared for burial before sundown when the High Sabbath began. At sundown was when the Passover meal was to be eaten. There was to be nothing left by daylight and no bones broken.
