    What about cain ?

And yet, God created/creates all things, while the devil is not given credit for creating anything, only destroying; so God must be the author of the creation of all those that are in the devil, and therefore created some humans to be saved, and oh-so-many more to be destroyed at the judgment...

    What about cain ?

In other words, God created some human beings just so He can throw them in the lake of fire.

    What about cain ?

Well, I tried to give him an out; but he's confirmed that he's espousing the "2 seed" stuff. Further, he goes on to identify anyone that disagrees with him as "not having the spiritual capacity to receive this." Someone tell me whether this gets classified as "hypocrisy" or not, and whether it...

    Texas Leading the Way

Good call. I'd go so far as to say, it's probably being done through the Department of Homeland Security. I can't see the military paying for rubber bullets; but I could see it going through DHS.

    What is Lordship Salvation?

Just to throw this out there (and Judith, this is for you to think about as well): If repentance is truly a "requirement" for salvation, then isn't baptism also a requirement? (Acts 2:38) I know of no Baptist preacher who says we must be baptized to be saved. Feel free to correct me.

    working with Catholics

I understand what Sola is asking. Knew a man a few years back that was of the opinion that, if invited, would refuse to preach in a church of another denomination "because it might give the appearance of endorsing that denomination." Don't think we ever got it through to him that he was...

    What is Lordship Salvation?

Out of curiosity, for clarification: do you say that a person must actively repent in order to be saved? (i.e., as a condition for salvation) Or that repentence comes with salvation? Or that God works repentence in us?

    What about cain ?

Gen 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. Where you're confusing people is that you're not clear with the fact that you're speaking of spiritual matters. You weren't clear until this statement that you're saying that Cain...

    What about cain ?

I get what's being said; spiritually, Cain was of the devil. But I guess the question is: So? As has been pointed out, none of Cain's offspring survived the flood. So why the big deal about Cain being spiritually bereft?

    Texas Leading the Way

If someone else posted something about this already, my apologies. If not, I'm surprised that we're not making sure we're aware of the strange--and frightening--turns our country is taking. http://washington.cbslocal.com/2012/05/23/groups-concerned-over-arming-of-domestic-drones/

    Fundamental View of Faith

Sorry, not catching the pitchback, because it doesn't answer the question -- unless you're implying that "our faith" means "faith in ourselves," or "my faith saves me," in which case I'd have to agree with you. BUT, that requires an implicit assumption that whenever someone says "I was saved by...

Hawaii verifies Obama's birth records to Arizona

There was an article somewhere over the last few days discussing why Obama didn't retract at the time; something about it was "cooler" to be a minority figure with ties to a developing country. Which may be the case, but certainly should have been found and discussed before the first election...

    Fundamental View of Faith

Perhaps the way to look at this is by looking at the individual meaning of the word justified. For example, Romans 5:18 would read: ...by the righteousness of one, [the free gift came] upon men unto jutification (declared by God to be free from guilt and acceptable to Him) of life. Romans...

DC Comics Character to Come Out As Gay

I did appreciate the quote from the Avengers movie: "There's only one God, ma'am; and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that!"

    Selling U.S. Out ... Again

I don't think he was either. I think he was trying to make a point about a past behavior. The opening post link pointed to an opinion piece, rather than straight to the facts of the matter. However, in this case, I have to admit it was easy to take the information from the opinion piece and do...

    Fundamental View of Faith

I'm curious; are you looking for a "full description" of saving faith? My simplistic understanding of what you're saying is: Dead faith is that belief/faith that is without works; works being the evidence of saving faith. The kind of "faith" that the devils, and many people who profess that...

Questioning the salvation of others on the BB

I think there's a difference between challenging each other's beliefs, and what we see sometimes happen (i.e., person A challenges person B; person B defends their position; person A then presents why they think person B is wrong; person B disagrees; person A then states that since person B...

DC Comics Character to Come Out As Gay

Actually, X-Men started off as a way to normalize racial differences; which is amusing, since most of its characters have been predominantly white. They added a Canadian, Russian, and an African (not exactly sure what African country she's from) in an attempt to show diversity. It has...

Obama History: Watch out, Mt. Rushmore

And here I thought you were gonna post something about a proposal to put O's face on Rushmore. . .though, that's probably coming. . . .
