    Who created?

...as to the subject of who can be saved, as seen in the context of the previous verse, 26; "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus" and the next verse after, 29; "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the Promise." ...as to The Divine...

Which Jesus? Why the Bible version issue matters.

We welcome your contribution to the Baptist Board Forum, as Baptists. (I am not saying that as an endorsement for KJVO, but for your apologetics concerning God's Word Preserved, as opposed to the proven lies that the Bible didn't exist for Centuries and needed to be reconstructed.) Those who...

    Dispensationalism

No point any longer in manmade sacrifices, supposedly efficacious, or presumably memorial. The Temple and entire Jewish economy of sacrifices was abolished in A.D. 70. The Jews and Gentiles are One in Christ. Ephesians 2:14; "For He is our Peace, Who hath made both one, and hath broken down...

Baptism Doth Also Now Save Us

You're understanding is Spot On, On-Point, Nailed It, Right On! :Rolleyes:Thumbsup:Inlove Very good, Baptizo. I'm confident we can say, with Jesus, "...flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father which is in Heaven." Matthew 16:17b.

    The Bible Agnostic Test.

Inspiration doesn't always travel in the same set of tracks. When God Spoke the Inspired Sixth Commandment to not kill, 1.) He Wrote it on tablets of stone in some lettering, 2.) then the Hebrew with consonants might look like 3.);֖ א תִּֿרְצָֽ֖ח׃ ס, then in our King James Bible, Exodus 20:13...

    The creation: origins

Based on the Halflife of Gravity, alone, the pressure would be so intense as to cause the Earth to explode and, therefore, not be able to exist, if it was even as much a 10,000 years old.

WHO IS THE SON OF GOD?

Hebrews 1:1; "God, Who at sundry times and in divers manners Spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets," Notice, it is God the Father, in the first place, Who Spoke TO the Prophets. Who Spoke TO the Prophets Yes, and it was God the Father Who Spoke to those Prophets. Are you...

WHO IS THE SON OF GOD?

Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers "(22) The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way.—The Hebrew word translated” possessed” in this passage (qānah) seems originally to have signified to” set up” or “establish,” and is applied (1) to the “forming” of the heavens (Genesis 14:19) and...

WHO IS THE SON OF GOD?

MY NOTES ARE IN CAPS, BUT I'M NOT YELLING!! :Whistling:Thumbsup:Laugh Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary; "Many regard the passage as a description of the Son of God by the title, Wisdom, AS THE PERSONIFICATION OF WISDOM, 8:1-17) the older Jews used WISDOM THIS WAY (and by which He is...

WHO IS THE SON OF GOD?

6 "And again, when He bringeth in the Firstbegotten into the world, He saith, And let all the Angels of God Worship Him." Oh, I see where you got this talk about a 'first born'; modern re-writes, because otherwise it is not mentioned in Hebrews 1, like that. "Firstborn among many brethren" is...

    Does this sound good?

This applies to all of us, certainly, so I'm glad to see you know that we all have room to grow in the Grace and Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. If I didn't already mention it, the Agape Godly-Giving quality of Charity-type-Love that God has for us is to Give. So, we're not to be...

Luke 24:21 says it was the third day "since these things", not "this thing", i.e., not 'the crucifixion'.

No, of course it didn't. "These things" does exclude 'the crucifixion' as being the one and only item he is referring to, however. We can't automatically assume he was referring to the crucifixion, otherwise he would have said, "since that happened".

Luke 24:21 says it was the third day "since these things", not "this thing", i.e., not 'the crucifixion'.

The crucifixion of Jesus was not the only thing they knew about that had happened. By "these things", in the plural, are you saying that it could not include anything but the crucifixion? Don't you think it would be like saying, "it's been three days since 'these things, the crucifixion', took...

Luke 24:21 says it was the third day "since these things", not "this thing", i.e., not 'the crucifixion'.

According to Luke they were talking about "all these things which had happened." (Luke 24:14). This is the inspired writer of scripture who wrote this, not some statement by someone who could have been mistaken, and "all these things which had happened" would certainly have included the...

Matt 17:21 - Is it original?

Do those individuals who do omit it from the English translation claim they are Led by the Spirit? If so, I believe we can place as big a question mark on their whole concept, as any has ever been.
