    Unreached People Groups

Very sadly, yes. If you have not heard it said, it is absolutely true that Jesus talked more about Hell than Heaven. His word for Hell was Gehenna. That was a word for the permanently burning dump outside of Jerusalem where the garbage and the dead bodies of poor people were flung. Here is the...

    Unreached People Groups

Go back and look. The verse was in 2 Corinthians, not Romans. The Romans passage was about the Great White Throne Judgment, not the Judgment Seat of Christ. P. S. Thanks for the passage. It basically proves my point: " the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;" That...

    Unreached People Groups

Funny. You are using sarcasm here, but you didn't recognize my sarcasm. :( (Please call me not great. Only God is.) Of course, the Judgment Seat of Christ for believers, not unbelievers, since this was written to a church. And your point is???

I see, so you believe in a works salvation, don't you? As for salvation through the proclamation of Christ, I invite you to interact with the Romans 10 passage above. Rom. 1:20 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that...

Recommendations For Fundamental Bible College or Seminary?

I'm glad to have this recommendation. I suppose I was thinking of events under the previous leadership. As the founder of Tennessee Temple U., Lee Roberson, used to say, "Everything rises and falls on leadership." For a fully accredited Baptist U. I recommend Maranatha Baptist U. in Watertown...

    Unreached People Groups

Revelation 20: 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead...

    Unreached People Groups

Romans 10 covers this subject perfectly: 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how...

Did Jack Hyles advocate any heretical views?

Florida Bob Gray is dead and his legacy very tarnished. Texas Bob Gray, after reading his book, has tied himself completely to the memory of Hyles, judging from his book. I'll stick with Jesus and John R. Rice, myself. :) Sad to think that they don't uphold the founder's legacy. They have kept...

    Unreached People Groups

Rom. 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." I was talking about missionaries. If you don't like that I was a missionary, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. So let's...

    Unreached People Groups

On the other hand, according to your doctrine we should never give the Gospel to anyone, because if they did not know it before, they would have gone to Heaven. However, when they understand the Gospel through our witness, they are now headed for Hell. So according to your doctrine my life was...

Add to that 3000 languages which still do not have a single verse of the Word of God in the language.

Did Jack Hyles advocate any heretical views?

I've noted the same thing. Had some good friends in Japan from the early days of the college. On the other hand, an HAC grad missionary to the military in Germany, who was a good friend, decided to support my ministry so he sent me a 7 page questionnaire. When I saw it I knew the friendship was...

Did Jack Hyles advocate any heretical views?

I wrote in my biography of John R. Rice that Hyles himself had those 100% buttons made, but later learned it was actually Bob Gray of Texas from his book, When Principle Was King: The Life Principles of Dr. Jack Hyles. Hyles could not have a more loyal acolyte than Gray! Both Hyles and Smith...

Did Jack Hyles advocate any heretical views?

Only God can judge, and I think he was born again, but the fame of building large churches, a college and all that, got to him and made him proud. Then when John R. Rice died and he was free to go his own way, he went off the rails. When Rice was sick and nearing Heaven, Hyles got in trouble...

Good plan for your trips to the Philippines. Guitars are tailor made for the mission field! I took a Conn classical guitar to Japan in 1981--made in Japan! Loved it, but when I took it in for repairs once they were astonished. Didn't know Conn ever made guitars! My classical guitar here is a...

Did Jack Hyles advocate any heretical views?

"I knew Jack Hyles and you're no Jack Hyles." :Biggrin Thank goodness. I obsessed over the controversies. They hit close to home. Have a ton of documents and books on it. He could forevermore shuck the corn, but as you say, without the Scripture mostly, or just taking a verse and going from...

Did Jack Hyles advocate any heretical views?

The Rice sisters (Mom was the 2nd sister) didn't appreciate the direction the SOTL leadership was taking the ministry, that being pretty radical KJVO and separationism. The sisters ended up more right wing evangelical. Two are still alive, up in their 90s. Wonderful aunts. Saw them last summer...

it's a Christian family that does bluegrass together. Looking for something to bind them all together, the father picked bluegrass. and they do right well at it in Branson, a mix of Christian and folk type secular music. Here's an example: . Wow, that's an awesome collection. In Japan at one...

Recommendations For Fundamental Bible College or Seminary?

I don't think God designed theology to be aggressive. Taking a stand on holiness, yes. Being aggressive about evangelical doctrines, no. However, being aggressive against heresy? Certainly. (If that makes sense.)

Do you like the Petersens? I am a guitar picker too, but have tried the mandolin and banjo. I had one when I started Japanese language school, but a SBC friend heard about it and bought it from me. Never got another one.
