Yes, deliberately so. I am 99% sure that you are operating under a flawed definition of "Free Will" [speaking from the Philosophical definition of Free Will ... in popular vernacular, "Free Will" has as many definitions as "Calvinism" ... one per person using the term]. Any response I made to...

I am not bound by the opinions of Mr Anderson (or those of John Calvin). I stated what I believe and why … and it comes from Biblical and empirical observations.

Revelation is not about the FUTURE

Have a nice day. I’ll waste no more time attempting to get you to communicate. (and I can ignore you without placing you in ignore)

    I'm tired, but not mad.

Aww heck, I’d like to throw my hat in the MODERATOR ring. Nobody should have to stand alone. I can read and enforce rules by deleting spam posts.

Revelation is not about the FUTURE

Before I start to ignore you, which is is? Are the tribes LITERAL TRIBES in which case 12,000 from Reuben is all about fleshly ancestry (I am not of the blood tribe of Reuben) or is it NOT about fleshly ancestry (in which case Reuben means something other than literal Reuben)?

I prefer to draw my opinions from scripture and then shop for a label that fits closest. Start with Genesis 50:20 as the ending point where GOD issues the final sentence on what was REALLY happening. We have "their free will" (you meant) working to accomplish "God's Plan". Genesis 50:20 [ESV]...

    Limited free Will.

What the heck dude, did you actually read the paragraph that you plucked that verse from? Luke 13:22-30 [NKJV] And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then one said to Him, "Lord, are there few who are saved?" And He said to them, "Strive to enter...

    Limited free Will.

Just a small technicality, but it was the Apostle Paul that made that Claim. Reformed Christians just believed him and included it in out notes of "The Bible says THIS". Romans 3:10-12 [ESV] 10 as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God...

So we agree that Human Ability is not the ONLY possible reason for the use of "IF" in Hebrews 3:7. [I noted that you have moved on from both the original verse we were discussing and the points that I raised on possible interpretation of that verse.] In MY OPINION, he would have had no reason...

Revelation is not about the FUTURE

Yes. I think that like Paul's audience, we should still be anticipating a return of the LORD. I think a physical kingdom on earth just like the old Kingdom of David with a better ruler is setting the bar WAY too low for what comes with Jesus second return (counting death and resurrection as...

John 10:25-30 [NLT] 25 Jesus replied, "I have already told you, and you don't believe me. The proof is the work I do in my Father's name. 26 But you don't believe me because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and...

Naw ... Just a "tit for tat" (one false accusation based on a caricature of beliefs deserved another). [I am a Compatibalist and not a Hard Determinist.]

FYI: I agree with most of this, however it avoids rather than answers my question ... Then what do we do with all the promises that are “lies”? The Holy Spirit “guarantees” nothing? (As just one example.) [Ephesians 1:13-14] That bothers me far more than the fact that God offers warnings to...

Since you have no assurances from God and maintaining your salvation depends 100% on your efforts ... keep up those salvific works (God is depending on you). ;)

    "All"

If that is from Peter, then God desires “all of His beloved” to be saved, and THAT is why Jesus delays his return (to give people like you and me a chance to be born 2000 years later). It does not say that God desires all without exception to be saved (or God would have enacted a salvation plan...

You do understand the lesson of the Wheat and Tares, right. That a wheat sprout and a tare sprout both look very similar and it is only when they mature that the true nature that was always in the plant is revealed. You do know that a wheat seed will only grow into a wheat plant and a tare...

Then what do we do with all the promises that are “lies”? The Holy Spirit “guarantees” nothing? (As just one example.) That bothers me far more than the fact that God offers warnings to keep saints moving towards a goal that God guarantees.

Should Baptist churches lower flags at half-staff as prescribed by the governor at the passing of the Catholic Pope?

Right or wrong … his official position on gays was that it was not his place to stand in judgement of anyone, that God would judge them just as God would judge us; Jesus commanded Francis (us) to offer love for everyone. So that is just a little more subtle that “for the gays”.

Yup. Nope. "Yet I [GOD] have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him." - 1 Kings 19:18 [NKJV] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in...

Should Baptist churches lower flags at half-staff as prescribed by the governor at the passing of the Catholic Pope?

I think most Churches do not fly a flag for the bother of the regulations ... it should be raised and lowered daily or lit at night (which gets you into complex local Lighting Codes).
