webdog does not have to put you in a bad light, you do that yourself by preaching and teaching that false doctrine of millenial exclusion.

God's Word tells us He chastens whom He loves. His chastening does not include putting them in a place of torment, regardless of your mis-interpretation of His Word.
It was not directed toward a Christian. It was directed toward satan who Peter allowed to speak through him.

Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 26:71-72
71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.
72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.
Peter either
A) Lost his salvation.
B) Proved he was never saved in the first place.
C) Wasn't quite "really" saved yet so needed to get "really" saved by standing against temptation, being courageous, and confessing Christ, and obeying all the rest of Matthew 10. (WORKS)
C) Messed up and needed to repent before he inherited the full promise of Matt 10:33.
D) Something that I have not thought of and would love to be enlightened about.

You all just keep these coming. They're great!
And yet you and none of the others that have posted here can refute it without cherry picking Scripture and taking it out of context to prove "your" theology. The lengths that one will go to hold on to tradition.

Lacy Evans said:?????Does the phrase "ye belong to Christ" in Mark 9:41 mean that John was eternally saved?
??????In verse 9:50, who is Jesus addressing?
????In Mark 9:38, John is speaking. When the Lord answers him, who does the "thy" (second person singular) refer to in Mark 9:43?

Lacy Evans said:1. In 1 Corinthians 9:27 Paul labors to keep from being a "castaway." In Luke 9, Jesus addresses His disciples (including Peter, vv.20, 23), and John and James (v.27-28), and He also warns them about the possibility of being "cast away" (v.25). Why don't you use Luke 9:25 to understand what Paul means in 1 Corinthians 9:27?
2. Did the warning in Luke 9:25 still apply to Peter, James and John when Paul wrote 1 Corinthians 9:27?
3. If it did not, at what point did the warning that Jesus gave to Peter, James and John in Luke 9:25 cease to apply to them?
4. Why do you think the Devil would destroy the link between Luke 9:25 and 1 Corinthians 9:27 (by erasing the words castaway, cast away)?

Paul, after coming to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, did not seek man's wisdom. He did not go to man's colleges or seminaries to learn God's Will, nor was he relying on the tradition of man. He relied on the Holy Spirit.
I was born again when I placed my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. My background will verify I do not follow man's traditions. I did not study as some fancy college that will not give you a degree if you teach or preach different than that which they program you with.
My doctrine is because of reading the Holy Word and relying on the Holy Spirit to reveal that which God's Word says.
Since the KE doctrine is very similar to the Catholic doctrine of purgatory, even down to the same verse they use, I would say it is you who hold to and follow man's tradition.

James_Newman said:It`s very easy to cast doubt on a doctrine by saying 'oh, thats the verse the Catholics use' or 'thats the JW verse', but it doesn't answer anything. The verses are in the bible for a reason, what are you going to do with them?
Not twist them as has been done by ME proponents
