And your evidence for this is...?
The Europeans were terrible at medicine in that time frame. Doctors were nothing but butchers.
The native American medicine man probably had a higher cure rate than the euro doctors because he did far less damage.

That the Europeans were allegedly butchers is not evidence for your claim that the Indians had scientists doing medical research. You still haven't named the medical technology they gave us.

Nor have you shown that they had a "higher cure rate".

You seem to be very big on silly claims, but come up very short on evidence for those claims.

You havum heap big explaining to do, Tonto.

Explain me a medical breakthrough from Europe during that time. I will then give you an equivalent. My point was and is that the tribal medicine man did as much good with herbs and roots as the European doctors of day.
You must have missed the mod sticky about derogatory names. I am not Tonto.

Sorry, but you're the one who made the claim. It's not my responsibility to jump through hoops for you to back up your claims.

So far, all anybody here sees is that you made a stupid claim and are unable to back it up.

You're right. You're not Tonto. Tonto was a man.

As I said, Native Americans were as medically advanced as Europeans during the time frame you mentioned. You errored because you chose a date about 100 years early. Your fault, not mine.
My grandmother was a Cherokee healer. She could talk off warts, talk off moles and skin cancers, talk out fire, and treat numerous ailments successfully with her native remedies handed down for hundreds of years. As late as the 1970, the doctor in town still sent people to her to talk the fire out of burns.

Yeah, we know you said that. What we're waiting on now is for you to be a man for once and explain to us what evidence led you to believe that claim is true.

No, actually, we were talking about the 18th century.

So, that's the "science" you were talking to?

As late as the 1970, the doctor in town still sent people to her to talk the fire out of burns.
Yeah, that's not really evidence. That's just an anecdote that claims people held a belief, not that that belief is true.

Yep, 1700s. Not much useful medical innovation.

As edifying as this thread has been, it is time to put it out of our misery.
