A little "end time" confusion (Who is leaving?)

Again, I want someone, anyone to show me 1,007 years between this judgement.

Be glad to:

Daniel 9:24-27

King James Version (KJV)

24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

There is yet a final week to be fulfilled in the judgement prescribed for Israel. When Christ died on the Cross...Messiah was cut off. This is the fulfillment of the first sixty-nine weeks. Some would see Christ's ministry as the first 3 1/2 years of this week, though they have no ready answer that is reasonable as to how it is that the Tribulation described in Revelation was fulfilled in the 3 1/2 years following Christ's death.

Unless of course, we allow for a "gap" and advance forward to 70AD.

No, we see here that a full seven year period is foretold, and as scripture always, when a specific time-frame is given, fulfilled as it is foretold, we can easily see that it is reasonable to connect this period of judgment to the description of the Tribulation as found in Matthew 24. It will deal specifically with Israel, and can be properly called "The Day of the Lord."

The prince that shall come is Antichrist. He will come into power, I believe, through deceptive practice. Coupled with the strong delusion that God will give those in this time as recorded by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2, those that know not God (showing they are not saved) and obey not the Gospel of Jesus Christ (showing that they have willingly rejected Christ after hearing the Gospel), we can see that it is not only reasonable, but probable beyond doubt that this Seventieth week, Jacob's Time of Trouble, has not yet been fulfilled.

Revelation describes this period.

And there are the Seven years for our equation.

Revelation 20

1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

That our adversary walks about today, seeking whom he might devour, is an evident truth set forth in scripture.

Here, Satan is bound for a specific time period...1000 years.

Then what happens? Glad you asked, and even more glad that scripture tells us:

4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

John records these events previously in Revelation. Antichrist as usual, tries to replicate the work and power of God in the lives of men, and those that have rejected Christ, and come under strong delusion, are not sealed of God, but their association and loyalty is to Antichrist.

Again here we see a specific time period of 1000 years given for those who appear to come out of the Tribulation, for they have died during that seven year period.

5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Only the just are resurrected before the 1000 years, the unjust do not live again until this specific time period ends.

6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Is it a "woodenly literal" interpretation to say that this states that those who take part in the First Resurrection shall be Priests of God and reign with Christ...for 1000 years?

7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

After 1000 years Satan is loosed. We have recorded his actions after he is released in Revelation 20.

We see 7 years of judgment left for Israel, 1000 years of human history with Satan bound.

That totals to 1007.

It's not there.

Okay.

When Jesus comes in the Cloud, He will have His reward with Him.

True.

Those on the right(sheep) go to heaven, those on the left(goats), go to the lake of fire. This right here is the GWT judgement.

When we see the judgment of God poured out on the world in the Tribulation, are told that after this judgment there will be a thousand year reign of Christ, we can easily see that there is a thousand year period between the end of the Tribulation, Daniel's seventieth week, and the Great White Throne Judgment.

When we read Matthew 24 and related texts, we see that this refers to the Tribulation Period...not the GWT. But in order to have a proper discussion about that, we would have to examine these passages, where we will see unmistakable and recognizable parallels to the events described in Revelation.

God bless.

If Revelation 20 is..."Revelation 20:1-10 is a recapitulation of events from the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ until His return in Power and Glory as recorded in Revelation 19."

...then apparently John misheard what he was told to write, for he states clearly a thousand year period between the resurrection of the Tribulation saints, those that died within the Tribulation, and the Great White Throne judgment, where those that did not "live again" until the thousand years were up.

He is ruling to be sure, the kingdom of God that is within us.

However, that Satan reigns in the world system even today can be seen in many places. Would you suggest that it is God that reigns over the wicked? Those that have openly rejected Him?

Ephesians 2

1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Ephesians 6

King James Version (KJV)

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

1 Peter 5:8

King James Version (KJV)

8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Would we think that scripture does not tell us this?

Is it not thought that the Seals, Trumpets, and Vials...are not judgments?

God bless.

The thing is that we live in the tensions between the first and second comings of Christ...

between the time of the Kingdom being here, and not yet fully here!

It was in Jesus, and in His church, but the full fulfillment of it will be when jesus returns to earth to set up His Millenium reign at his second coming!

God ultimatily is in authority, but the world system still controlled by satan, still evil and sin in world, that will be dealt with at second coming, when the FULLNESS of the Kingdom comes over entire earth, world systems turned over to Christ, His reigns directly...

Not at that time yet!
