Maybe, just maybe, the problem is not with the leadership but with believers.

Maybe God is going to continue to send this kind of leader until American Christians learn how to biblically honour, respect, and pray for their president like they should.

I pray the greatest nation on Earth will recover from this error of many preferring to be dependent of the government as well as for our President that God turns his heart from his agendas which are morally bankrupting the nation and now could become much worse that he has been unleashed.

Which, being interpreted, meaneth: When Christians learn to love socialism. I've been on the board for 12 years. I've got your number.

I have prayed for him - his safety, widsom, salvation and more for 4 years. I will continue to do so. I do not allow students at my school to say one word of disrespect against him.

Since you seem to have a god's eye view into the heart of conservative Americans here on this board, tell me - how exactly have I personally and biblically dishonoured and disrespected President Obama to the point where God is punishing me by putting him back in office?

Your post is offensive to those have not sinned in the way that you have claimed.

If the shoe don't fit - don't wear it. No need to take offence if you are not guilty.

I see, not only on this forum but in nearly every format American Christians calling the president childish names, lying about him, and showing general disrespect. You obviously are not guilty of these things so keep up the good work and set an example for others to follow.

I recall family members and men in town who were in WWII said if our country slides off their Christians values as much as England and Europe had we will be in trouble. If they could see England, Europe and the good old USA today.
We have just what the American public wants for president. The secular population has moved to the left from 40's and 50's to today and the Christian population has done like wise.
Values are difference today so most vote to their values.

I would agree that part of what God wants us to learn is how to treat our leaders with proper Biblical respect. So maybe we can follow Jesus example and call the President "that fox" as Jesus called Herod. :tongue3:

But that is only the smallest lesson we ought to be learning from this. Believers need to do what we can to change our government lawfully, but more than that we ought to be living Bible and Christ centered lives.

Look at some of the other votes that were made yesterday. Maine and Maryland approved gay marriages. Washington (state)and Colorado approved the recrerational use of Marajuana. Since 1998, in 32 straight votes, states have defeated the gay marriage juggernaut, until yesterday.

The problem isn't how we treat this President. The problem is how we treat our God.

Yep. Christians learned to love and no doubt pray for Hitler, too, after all, German Christians helped vote him in.

We are what we see, read and learn, so we Christians should be a light.

I think we spend to much time glorifying self, and the world rather than God. If I'm correct what ever we do that isn't to His glory is sin.

I think that it was non-believers that voted consistently for Obama - as opposed to believers.

The problem is that the majority of voters are not saved.

And some Americans supported and voted for presidents who took us into unjust wars, supported horrible dictators. We are not so lily clean.

By the way, there were Christians who opposed Hitler. Every hear of Dietrich Bonhoeffer? He paid the ultimate price for his opposition. Have you read any of his books?

I pray for justice to be done unto Obama. Impeachment anyone?

I really want that to happen. However, I don't see it happening. It would not accomplish anything.

Assume that somehow the House does bring the charges and the Senate enforces it. What happens? If they remove Obama (he doe snot have the character to resign with a little honor) then what? Do you want Biden in the big chair? Trading one egotistical bully for another does not change much. I guess we could take solace in some measure of justice being done.

Yeah, pray for that fox-- Jesus' word for Herod, whom He did not say to pray for, while John the Baptist had the arrogance to "judge" him.

Interesting, how is this any different than hurricanes being a punishment from God?

BINGO!!!

And there's no MAYBE. It's a definite. If you completely ignore what the lost have done during this election cycle, and you look at what evangelicals have done against God by throwing our support behind that which is against Him, we are INDEED the problem.

Its really pretty basic - no need to argue with me

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour,

And if God had given you and the rest of us the justice that we deserve? You need to be really careful about praying for justice.

Why don't you pray for his soul?

I continue to see from CHRISTIANS that an election is seemingly more important than people's eternity.

Psalm 7:15 He who digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit he has made.

If you have divided God's house by backing that which is against Him...
If you have yoked yourself to an unbeliever (Romney)...
If you (light) have attempted to have something in common with darkness(Romney)...
If you have ignored that Romney is against Christ because it was more important to remove Obama...

There's a whole lot of ways folks BELIEVERS have sinned against God in this election cycle. And the same pride that got them to that point is the same pride that keeps them from recognizing they were at that point.
