That is what I am aware of. I agree with you because I saw many churches are changing because of modern versions and apostasy among there.Originally posted by michelle:
To be very honest with you, I would not trust the NKJV, and the reason I say this is because I see how much apostacy there is in the churches today,

Michelle, excellent answer! I agree with you.Originally posted by michelle:
The RT is that text has been the words of God for the believing churches throughout the ages. The CT has been a modern invention. The RT gives a strong testimony of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The CT gives the weaker testimony of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The KJV methods of translation were of formal equivalency and the faith in the preservation of God's pure words of truth within the churches. The CT methods of translation use the dynamic equivalency and disregard the preservation of the scriptures within the churches, and approach God's words as any other book. The CT adherents believe the older manuscripts must be the most accurate, and therefore give the credibility to the omittion of verses of scripture or words of scripture that have been long preserved within the believing churches. These manuscripts that do not include these verses/words are looked upon as more accurate, and the result is that God's preserved words of truth are omitted.

Dr. Bob, I do not mean any disrespect from what I am saying here, but it is my opinion that this IS a debate site and although you have heard all of the KJVo arguments over and over, because you moderate the forum. When someone like Michelle comes along she has not been here long enough for us to debate the issue with her. People are constantly changing. If we do not want a KJVo to answer our questions or respond, then we do away with the entire reason for having this "debate" site.Originally posted by Dr. Bob Griffin:
Deal with it. And there are people, like Michelle, who I personally opt never to answer. I may openly condemn or ridicule her, but after the first and second admonition, I choose to reject some folks.
And they do the same to me, I'm sure!

You mean that Westcott was an unbeliever.Originally posted by skanwmatos:
Westcott was the more prolific writer and many of his early writings do indicate he may have, at one time, doubted the deity of Christ, believed, to some extend, in Darwinianism, which was all the rage at that time, and wrote some things regarding the resurrection that should cause us some concern.
No problem on my part. We allow all the KJVo sect to post (and often BEG them to actually give facts and respond to questions) and only occasionally have to suspend one of them for going "over the edge". The rest - on each side of the issue - are good Christians.Originally posted by Phillip:

I hope I don't upset you or make you mad at me for saying this, but I think maybe the board is a little bit biased in allowing those who we disagree with to present their view. That is the fun part of debate.
Did you doubt the resurrection before you were saved? Does that mean you are still lost?Originally posted by Askjo:
