If Clinton had the loyalty of the military it was begrudgingly...

I think our timing was off in invading Iraq also, but I think we should have done it sooner. I don’t feel that the decision was based on lies. Perhaps faulty Intel., but I don’t even know that is true. It may have been. There was too much of a time gap. I also don't think Iraq was well thought out, but it is much easier in hind site.

For the most part, I think Clinton had the loyalty of the military, but only because of his office. I served with very few servicemen who thought he was doing a good job, and most with whom I served thought he was destroying the military.

The enemy could do better than to deal with these guys, I don't see them being that influential nor do I believe that they can be legitimately recognized as being representitive of the American public.
The first time I had heard about this meeting was from listening to Rush Limbaugh but other than that this story has been a minor blip in the way of news coverage.

I don't believe your response is along the same lines as what I am referring to.

Are you trying to change the subject or do you , too, just not get it?:BangHead:

It’s amazed me that the people displaying the anti-Bush stickers still feel they are supporting their country. (The same was true with the anti-Clinton stickers in the past).

Some people today can’t fathom what it is to support your country, or the troops. They don’t realize that “I support you, but not what you are doing in Iraq” is an insult, and actually think it is a complement.

You certainly "get it", Jon.:applause:

I don't support what we are doing in Iraq - we have been way too kind and worried about playing by the rules of the PC crowd in the middle of a so-called war. I don't blame the troops, however, just the politicians, including the Commander in Chief. Win the war. Then worry about "winning hearts and minds" if necessary. When you try to do both simultaneously, you end up in the mess like we have there now - 3000+ American troops dead, 40,000+ wounded. Politicians have not let our troops really fight a war like a war should be fought since WW2.

When you refer to Patriotism as facist crap then that says it all. Everything else sounds similar to charlie browns school teacher.

Nice re-edit. The writer did not refer to patriotisim as facist crap but he did describe three elements of political leveraging going on in Washington D.C. and throughout the nation.
This is what was actually written;
I'm sick and tired of this patriotic, nationalistic and fascist crap.

1. patriotic,

2.nationalistic

3.and fascist crap
