And I thnk that is a difference between some of us. To you, this was an insult that if aimed at you would make steam come out of your ears. To me, it was simply humerous. Why? Because my identity in Christ can withstand the arrows.
If your IFB church isn't like the one in the story, then your armor, your reputation should be able to withstand the arrows. This should have been a non-event. The people in your community should be able to say with confidence, "hey, we have an IFB church in our town and they don't act/believe like that. We know because they come around and talk and help with community projects all the time. This must just be a problem that church had."
If questioned as Don was, then that your church members can explain that your church has policies in place to prevent this sort of thing and you don't practice "church discipline" in any such way.
The foremost thought given in this thread is: ABC has attacked every IFB church in the US and abroard by airing this story. How dare they?
But it should have been: "How awful! Do we have policies in place to prevent this in our church?" (which to their credit C4K, JoJ and a few others pointed out)
