Is the word to be guessed polygamy??

Isaiah 4:1."And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. "


That "seven women" would seek to be called by the name of "one man" is clear evidence of polygamy. Are you saying you believe this is ok? The Bible is clear..One man one lady. Do you need proof? Bob if this is your faith..you need to start a tread on this, and I have many verse I can post showing this is wrong. But this really has no place in this tread.

Well..like i said it makes no point that I can see. The only context is polygamy. You say that is wrong. You will not tell your point you made if any. Now you took away all my 10 points. I guess you win.

Yeah...there is no way. I mean..I love my wife, but there is no way I could be on 2-3 honey-do list. She worked me to death today with yard work, hanging flag, laying a stone path, and making a gate. But..it was fun. I just could not do that for 3 wives

No I'm not a mormon. Why would you ask? Have I not said many times I am a Baptist? I asked you 3 times what was meant. Each time you said.."no i'm not going to" You told me to study on my own. The verse is talking about polygamy. You posted the verse..you will not say what you mean. This is what the verse says. Nearly any one knows that many wives married to one man is polygamy, so though you think this is higher education, it is not. Your verse that we speak of is talking of polygamy....that is the context. Your point...still unknown.

According to your profile you just became a Baptist lately didn't you? When I first looked at your profile it said non-denominational unless I was looking at someone else's. Was I or wasn't I? peace:type: We have non-denominational churches in our area and they don't say they are Baptist but they say they are not a denomination. raise:

Brother Bob and I have been debating Calvinism and other doctrines for a while, and disagree on many, but one thing that strikes me about him is that he is living by the Spirit. After reading the posts in this thread, I am not sure about the two who constantly antagonize him. It is one thing to debate, it is quite another to push someones buttons for the purpose of being mean, and sit back and laugh. As far as the games being played with the word Baptist, I am one, go to a church with the name in it, and feel it is an honor to serve the Lord in this denomination. Its not something I appreciate someone taking lightly.

Wonder why you said it was silly to have to be a Baptist to post on here. I did see you make that statement. I think it was someone else that jumped you about not being Baptist at first. I did join some after that. I don't care what you do or where you go. I also saw someone tell you to tell them you were Baptist and it would be alright. If you are Baptist who really cares. If I wanted to be non-denomination then that is what I would be. If I wanted to be Baptist then that is what I would be. I would not be one and call myself the other when it was conveniant. I mean the word "non-denomination" means not a denomination. Is that right? You failed the test anyway and I really thought you could pass it. You will have to sit in a corner until you know the word.
