Islam was never in the truth! And they do not trace back to Abraham as a religion. Islam the religion goes back to Mohammed around 600 AD, not back to Abraham.

Correct, Marcia. Arabs go back to Abraham, but the religion of Islam does not. Mohammed based his religion on one of the multiple gods Arabs were already worshpping at the time, the moon god.

At any rate, back to the topic, God has protected this Christian so far and perhaps will use this one man to bring many Muslims to the truth of Jesus Christ. It's not over yet. I give God the Glory for sparing this man's life so far, in answer to the prayers of many Christians throughout the world. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob be praised.

This convert is suppose to be released, but this does not solve the problem, the law still exists. it is beyond my comprehension that we as Americans brought that government to power, and did not insist that religous freedom be included in their Constitution. In other words, everyone can worship as they choose, without fear. Can anyone imagine an America or Israel that executed those who converted to Islam from Christianity (which is impossible, theologically, but thats another thread).

But if true, it isn't worth the paper it's printed on. What our policy makers fail to comprehend is the religion of islam has a history of being the most intolerant on the planet and nothing written on a piece of paper can change that. Iraq is no different. I read one time where there used to Baptists in Afghanistan. There used to be a lot of Hindus. There used to be religious freedom until islam moved in and took over the country. Whoever wasn't executed, fled. Now the country is nearly all Muslim. That's the islamic modus operandi.

If more people would realize this, there would be more common ground for discussion. Jesus is even in the Koran. What is sometimes called "Messianic Islam" is on the rise, and many of them come to the truth through the Koran, and want to know more about this "man", and guess where they turn? The Bible!

Just like all lies, Satan has taken the seed of truth and perverted it. But, the seed of truth is there. Historically, they worship the same God as we do, but that has been perverted into a worship of the moon god; but with that common basis and a teaching of Jesus, they can find the truth even in the mire of Islam.

Don't confuse these "Messianic Muslims" with those who are called "Messianic Muslims" by the Charismatic types.

In the same token, Jews do not worship the True, Living God spiritually, although they also do worship Him in a purely historical sense.

The same can be said of the different Christian factions. Baptists, Catholics, Lutherans, Methodists, etc, all worship the same God historically, in that we all came about through the early Christian churches, but most of them, I'll let you figure out which, have long since abandoned the truth of the scriptures, and with out the truth, we can not really worship God.

I'm a Lutheran. How has the Lutheran Church deviated from the truth?

Afghan Arrives in Italy After Fleeing
