President-elect Donald Trump said in a weekend interview that he is nearing completion of a plan to replace President Obama’s signature health-care law with the goal of “insurance for everybody,” while also vowing to force drug companies to negotiate directly with the government on prices in Medicare and Medicaid.

Also means also, right? So Trump VOWED to provide insurance for everybody.
You are having major reading comprehension issues.

Trump declined to reveal specifics in the telephone interview late Saturday with The Washington Post, but any proposals from the incoming president would almost certainly dominate the Republican effort to overhaul federal health policy as he prepares to work with his party’s congressional majorities.

The answer to my question, then, is the media. There is no quote from Trump saying he "vows" anything. The media, and of course, detractors, always like to put words in someone's mouth. "Vow," "guarantee," and "plead" would be among the chief stick-'em-in'the-mouths.

Mass shootings since Sandy Hook, in one map

In December 2012, a gunman walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, and killed 20 children, six adults, and himself. Since then, there have been at least 1,686 mass shootings, with at least 1,941 people killed and 7,104 wounded.

The counts come from the Gun Violence Archive, a database that tracks events since 2013 in which four or more people (not counting the shooter) were shot at the same general time and location. The database’s researchers comb through hundreds of news stories, police reports, and other sources each day and individually verify the reports. Still, since some shootings aren't reported, the database is likely missing some shootings, and some are missing details. The count is also a constant work in progress, so some of the numbers and details may be slightly imprecise.

And we should truly care about the victims of these tragedies and not care mainly about emotional manipulation for the sake of an agenda.

You can keep your own doctor, medical premiums will go down 25%, rel lkine in the sand, and worst of all, Jesus approving gay Marriage in the Sermon on the Mount!
The first two were because the Republicans did not cooperate at all in improving our health care. Obama had to make changes in his original proposal in order to get it through Congress. I've never heard the last one about Jesus approving gay marriage.

If I’m reading you correct, you are blaming the ZERO’s lying on the Rs simply because they didn’t cooperate!?!?
Just maybe it was because the ZERO WAS NOT improving our health care. At any rate, the lies were from the ZERO himself, not from any influence from the Rs or anything else; just his natural traits coming out.

He claimed in a press conference that Jesus approved ot gay mariages in the Sermon on the Mount. The same reasons you gave for him would apply same fashion to Trump and the Dems!

Wow. I missed that. Let me guess. Obama said the same thing Madonna says, twisting the verse about "judge not lest ye be judged." Am I right?

Edited to add: I just re-read the entire Sermon on the Mount, and I see it does not contain the "judge not lest ye be judged verse". I guess the Sermon on the Mount seems to be sort of an ink blot to Obama.

I do recall him mocking the Sermon on the Mount on another occasion, saying it would make "interesting foreign policy" and "folks haven't been reading their Bibles".

Obama seems to have made quite a few references to the Sermon on the Mount in various speeches for various purposes. I was actually surprised when I looked it up.
