To borrow a label from late nineteenth century U.S. politics:
This is not the forum to wave the bloody flag of KJVOism.
Contrary to the belief of some (please see the CAT of Truth Thread at the top of the forum.), the fundamentalist view of Bibliology is not based on the KJVO position.

FAIR WARNING, if this thread drifts into a Trans\Vers food fight, it will be closed without further warning.

It means:
I consider myself a Historic Baptist. I can trace my own spiritual lineage to the early days of Fundamentalism and that of my church to before Fundamentalism was fun. (1881 to be exact.) To the best of my knowledge, none of my antecedants held that support of the proper position on the inspiration, inerrancy and transmission of God's Word to us in our day, required taking a KJVO position. Many held to the superiority of the KJV and the Traditional Texts, but none would read out of meeting men who held different CAT 2 position on these matters.

Well, I consider myself a historic, fundamental Baptist without some of the former "trappings" in ideology! I attend a SBC church, very conservative one at that, and witness as often as I can. Of course, to many this would mean I'm not a fundy! :(

rather divisive instead of instructive.

Might as well be like most KJVO topics - no Scripture to back it up, so talk about anything you'd like.

I'm not one. Like Squire, I'm an historic pre-mill, pre-trib, independent fundamental Baptist who eschews KJVonlyism as a divisive sect and against women PASTORS, just like the Bible is.

Ind & Fund Baptist here in WA state. I have searched the churches in W. WA to find those who have not been tricked by the Rick Warren movement. Let me know if you need help finding one.

</font>[/QUOTE]What is wrong with discussing KJVO this is what the request was. To threat to close the thread doesen't make since just because you don't like it. Thats like being a bully on the school yard I'll take my ball and go home.
