It is really not compassion, it has nothing to do with compassion regardless of the cartoons Crabby posts. It is all about buying votes. I can remember when the democrats were pushing "aid to dependent children" when I was in high School. So now we have more dependent children and dependent adults. It is the same with everything the democrats do. They want a subservient welfare class that will put the elitist leftists in political power perpetually.
And what an amazing opportunity we have to put into motion the Great Commission amongst so many different cultures right here in our own backyard. Many of us do not even need to leave our own neighborhoods. Hispanics, Latinos, Asians, Indians, Arabs, etc. Many of which would be completely unreachable because of the cultures they lived in, in their home countries. Many keeping at least some contact and influence with their relatives back home.
Ethnic missions with so little need for initial investment of money. Only people power and faith. God does provide. :thumbsup:

:thumbsup: You should post more often. This is precisely our experince with migrant Mexicans in our area, some who have settled in, become citizens, and now are our friends and neighbors.

I say not. If we did so, we would soon lose our right to minister to anyone.
Nobody here is against immigration. We are against breaking the law and not being held accountable. That is inline with Scripture. One of the things God requires of us is to do justice...Micah 6:8. A free for all is not just. In fact, it isn't even loving to give people what they want just because they want it.
Keep in mind the teaching on widows.

I am reminded of Daniel's wisdom in preparing for, and administration during, the famine that was in Egypt and beyond. He did not just give everything away. He made wise decisions that met the needs of the people and blessed the civil government. He did so while showing no bias, except in care for his own family.
None of us are against helping people with needs. Again, we just desire a just system that maintains accountability. This is just and merciful.
To do otherwise is to enslave the people under the guise of caring for them. That is what the Democrats have sold roughly 53% of the voters.

Plus, American believers are fat and lazy when it comes to evangelism. The Mormons do a better job of reaching our with their word. When was the last time you had a born-again believer knock at your door to share the Goodnews?
We have Mormons, Jehova Witnesses, and kids selling candy. However, I haven't s someone, anyone, from a church talking about Jesus dying upon the cross for our sins in years. The church seems to think if they build a church, people will come. Maybe if you own a mega church, they'll come, as it's the thing to do! However, your little neighborhood church is not growing by leaps and bounds because they just don't get out and beat the bushes for non believers and converts.
To say that all these illegal immigrants and anchor children are opportunities for the church is a misnomer, a fallacy, wishful thinking, and purely an excuse to let them come here without following proper procedures. :BangHead: It's time to get real, and pass laws to stop the masses from coming here without following our present laws.
We will see a rapid increase in available jobs for unemployed Americans; city, state and federal budgets will again be in the black, our hospitals will not be passing on costs to those with insurance to provide care to the indigent, and our police can focus on issues pertinent to our safety, and not chasing down illegals.
