Please don't feel sorry for those under my teaching for we are on our way to Heaven. I pray you will get yourself straighten out. You really need to be under the leadership of someone else who is more sound in the doctrine. You are like a feather in the wind.

I'm sure you preach holiness, Bob, and I believe that is something to be commended. But you can't tell a lost sinner that they are saved by the blood of Christ. You can't even tell them that you are saved by the blood of Christ. The best you can say is you hope you are saved, and they might be too.

Oh, we may agree more than you ever know on the Hope. It is just what is that Hope? I can tell a lost sinner that it takes the blood of Christ to save them. Preach Jesus, that is all I know.

He is referring to the Jews who were still trying to live under the law. We are justified by Christ and not be the law. So where there is no law there is no transgression of the law.

Arean't they really just another means to get to the same ends?

1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Scripture teaches me there is only one name given under Heaven where a man can be saved and that is Jesus Christ. Also, Salvation is of the Lord. In Noah's days, he already was a preacher of righteous and there were eight souls saved from the natural death.

John told us that he came to preach the gospel that we could know we have eternal life! My hope is Christ is a sure thing, there are no questions about it!

Paul said if in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable! 1 Cor 15:19

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be life Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John3:3

For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day! 2 Tim 1:12

What a pitiful existence it would be to have no assurance of eternal life, to think it was all a very iffy promise! NO, Our God's promises are to be fully trusted! If you have no assurance then perhaps you have no salvation!
Examine yourself to see if you're in the faith! Dont you know that Jesus Christ lives in you; unless that is, you fail the test!!2 Cor 13:5

Depends on what you are talking about LeBuick. Webdog tried to answer this question, but didn't relate exactly what it is that we believe.

A person is body, soul and spirit and not all three are saved at the same time and in the same fashion.

Man is born spiritually dead because of the fall of Adam. However their body and soul are alive and active although corrupt becuase of sin.

Man's spirit is made alive at the very moment a sinner places his/her faith in the substitutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Spotless Lamb of God (Acts 16:30-31, Eph. 2:8-9).

At the very moment we are made alive spiritually we are secure for eternal purposes. However Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the spirit and the soul are separated just like light and darkness was separated in Genesis 1. What fellowship does light have with darkness.

Our spirit has been made alive and brought into the Light, but our soul still remains in darkness as does our body.

Our bodies will be saved when we receive our glorified bodies.

Our souls are saved not by works alone as Webdog indicated, but by faith mixed with works as the book of James as well as many of the epistles indicate, along with the Gospel accounts.

Once the spirit has been made alive a person is in a position to understand the spiritual message that is given in Scripture on how the soul is saved.

That's a very brief look at the matter.

I do not doubt that you preach well enough to see folks saved spiritually. My concern is that you leave them short when it comes to the kingdom, but only time will tell.

And thanks for your prayers! I'm always looking to be straigtened out, because I know that until I see Him face to face there is always room for growth and change that may need to take place.

However, you couldn't be further from the truth when you say I am like a feather in the wind. If that was the case I would believe what you have been espousing even though you have no Biblical evidence to prove any of it.

Feathers get tossed to and fro in the wind and if I was like that I would be caught up in the false doctrine of Lordship salvation which is nothing more than backloading spiritual salvation with works and perverting the simple message of believe and you will be saved.

Have to come up with a better description

Maybe if it is copied from a 'blue letter' Bible? Just wonderin'. That said, I much prefer 'black letter' editions.

Do you not see the circular logic? I know I am saved because I have fruit that proves it. I know that I will continue to produce fruit because I am saved. I know I am saved because I have fruit... If you are looking at your fruit for assurance of salvation, you can't say that you know you are saved. Well you can say it, but you can't really know it.

Ed, it turns red what ever word I put in search engine and would be very hard to go through and take the red out. I can't see where its a problem as typing in huge letters is what I consider rude.

You are really challenged with the 'understanding department', are you not?
Did you not read the verses I quoted there?
Did they say anything at all about fruit?
I know in Whom I have believed, that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto HIm against that Day!

Where on earth does that say anything at all about 'fruit'?
I bear the fruit because I am saved, not in order to be saved!
Do you deliberately work at creating confusion or does it just come naturally to you?

I don't want to argue with you J. Jump. I do know that in this part of the country I doubt if any denomination here would accept your doctrine and most will accept mine. I will work in my part of the vineyard and you can work where ever they will let you. You keep putting me down as if you are so high but those who sit in high places are the easiest ones to knock off. Your beliefs are so far from all the rest on this board that it is pitiful. I wonder why you believe you were shown a different way than all the rest.

    Blind lead the blind????

What were you suggesting I examine to know whether I be in the faith?

Why did John the Baptist say: "therefore bring ye fruits meet for repentance"???

For the same reason that Jesus said it.

    Matthew 3:1-2
1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Matthew 4:17
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

A believer must be 'in the faith' and bringing forth good works to be in the kingdom, this is clear. But the free gift of life on the last day is to all who believe, regardless of their works.
