You've made some claim to being or desiring to be an apologist. Explain to me how this verse is speaking of apostate churches in context. Are apostate churches the fire spoken of here or are they the spotted garments?
Once explained how do we get the application that passing out tracts at the church is saving some , pulling out of the fire or hating polluted garments? What is the principle of fear spoken of? Fear of the Lord or instilling fear in the ear of the listener?

Did this thread just die a sudden and horrible death? That's what ya git for askin' a question I guess.
Those that lack compassion are those that do not witness. I have never been accused of lacking compassion other than this board.
There are those on this board that excel in the gift of judgment, Evan, and if you are around long enough they will accuse you of everything under the sun, and anything that can be used to demean and insult you. Don't take 'em serious as none of them have proved themselves to be equal to God, yet, which means they are more Pharisee than brothers in Christ. :tear:

I was wondering the same thing. Still no answer to the question but maybe it means that Evan is spending time with his dear wife.
Bible John said:Yes, there are nothing but atheists over there WHOM hate christians.
evangelist6589, with all due respect it does appear to me, considering the number of threads you've generated lately regarding the passing of tracts..., that you are desperately seeking approval for your actions? If this might be the case then you need to re-evaluate your motives as you're probably only making things worse.

Over the years I've had many approach me with a Gospel Tract and while I graciously accept their offer I'll end up depositing it at another location. Most folks just push the tract in front of you and upon acceptance, they move right along to the next person. It's as if the distributor of said tract could just as easily handed me a chewing gum wrapper because they couldn't find a trash bin.
I once witnessed a young boy (teenager) take the tract he was provided, threw it on the ground and stomped on it. At that point I asked the Lord to convict this young lad to the point that the rest of his week be totally ruined. That he would lose his taste for food. That he'd become ill. That our Lord would come down on him so badly and with so much conviction that the only direction he would be able to see would be straight up.
In America today so many see nothing but commercialism when it comes to churches and organized "religion". Personally, I would not hand out tracts to just everyone I see on the street. It's like singing to the pigs.
The passing of tracks should be supplemental to the verbal and relational sharing of the gospel. It should not be the only tool in your box.
Amen to that! The passing of tracks should be supplemental to the verbal and relational sharing of the gospel. It should not be the only tool in your box.
