How about obey His commandments, feed your enemy and give him drink, and pray that Gods Will be done in your life as well as your enemy?
Hopefully, I will be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit to comply with God's revelation. Firstly, I have to identify my enemy and give an invitation to a meal, including a drink. Have you had any success in doing that? If so, what was the outcome? If not, why not?

Perhaps we both have had some success, though possibly unaware. As far as the outcome, if successful, then the Glory belongs to God, and if a failure, then that is on me. Agreed, I pray the Holy Spirit would lead me to do Gods will.

I'm sorry. Yes, I believe some political views can be sinful. A persons "view" of something is another term for thought, and thoughts are from the heart. The Lord judges whats in our heart. That's my view.:)

Not saying your conversation wasn't a good one, just didn't want things to drift too far. :Thumbsup

Yes, in fact here's a great video from PragerU on the aftermath of the emancipation.
Reconstruction: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Yes, of course, there was resistance, particularly from the Democrat party who brought forth the KKK and other forms of resistance.

And no doubt, the same messiness will occur if RvW is overturned. Just look at how liberals were scratching at the doors of the SC when Kavanaugh was being confirmed! Just wait n see what the next SC appointment is going to be like, especially if a liberal is being replaced with a conservative. All hell will break loose.

Righteous fights are never easy.
He leaves out a host of problems that existed both before and after the war that taints his presentation. It is just as likely that the RvW issue will have the same sort of history, with perspectives misaligned with actual current thought and practice.
