The form of government makes no difference. If Christians in the New Testament, most of whom lived in part of the mighty Roman empire, were to pray for their leaders, and not make efforts to dominate and control them/their government, why should it be different for people who elect their governments? If, as you say, your government is "we the people," why should some of "we the people," i.e. those who are Christians, seek to dominate and control it?
It will be dominated by either Christians or non Christians. I choose the Christian option.

Does it not include those for whom the public vote? Are you saying that in a democracy, Christians should seek to overthrow the elected Government, and dominate it themselves?

We are not a Democracy.
I am saying that Christians should seek to hold every elected seat possible. I do not see that as overthrowing anything. I see it as using the system.

I assumed that the "Georgia" in your "Well-known member from Georgia was the American state. I think most people think of the USA as a democracy. Perhaps you are from the Georgia formerly part of the USSR.

As for getting elected into public office, that is surely up to the electorate.

Constitutional Republic.
Thanks. I always thought that the USA was democratic, in that it holds to government of the people by the people. I came across this at https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/lesson-plans/Government_and_You_handouts.pdf

"The United States is a representative democracy. This means that our government is elected by citizens. Here, citizens vote for their government officials. These officials represent the citizens’ ideas and concerns in government. Voting is one way to participate in our democracy. Citizens can also contact their officials when they want to support or change a law. Voting in an election and contacting our elected officials are two ways that Americans can participate in their democracy."

People write for the US government.
“It is evident that people make mistakes, it is obvious in government.”
