Then why are the Calvinists looking for a clarification as to what the OP means? If you consider yourself a Calvinist then it doesnt matter what others think a Calvinist is.

John
That was my original point. Calvinists should not be ashamed to say they are calvinists no matter what people believe that to mean. You know what it means, say what you mean, and label yourself. I'm not bent out of shape w/ labels as some are. It doesn't bother me.

I would suggest you define Calvinism better than this if you want full participation in your survey. BTW, whats your definition of Non Calvinists? Would Roman Catholics & Mormons & Jehovah's Witnesses be Non Calvinists? Also are the hate mongers who post tirades that we have been seeing on this board lately --- are they considered Non Calvinists?

MUST define the cal label, and the non cal also!

I am a 4 pointer in DoG, am I a cal by this test?

Are 5 pointer cal, or MSUT they hold to full reformed doctrines?

Are non cals same as free will baptists, or as Arminians?

this is funny......why should I as a believer have any allegiance to any side...It is amusing to think I would ever even consider it. Its not that I was any object of anyones ferocity as some in here claim, never made to suffer at anyones hands like this weakling is saying, therefore I am not vengeful. I choose my way of life, my understanding of scripture etc., very calmly without any concern about what anyone thinks & immensely enjoy being that way. Does that answer your question?

It's funny to see you calling someone else a hate monger.

FYI, I never had any ill feelings towards Calvinists until I came to the BB. Now I despise Calvinism, and you are one of the main ones that gave that attitude.

After being on the BB, a Calvinist is the last thing I would ever want to be

John

I personally don't care. But when you have to stand before a most Holy & Righteous God & give accounting for all your despising & hatred for your fellow man, after you were told how wrong it is, what will you say? That someone made you do it! I tell you & remember this surely, He will not accept your excuse that others made you what you are, and that you are blameless.

Yes. I will answer to Him for far worse things than this.

But I dont have to answer to you for squat.

Pretty simple question. Do you identify yourself as a Calvinist or a non-Calvinist?

No hedging or defining it. No "I'm a four-pointer" or "I prefer to be called Reformed".

Yes or No.

No.

BTW you asked a compound question that cannot be answered by a simple Yes or No because of the word or in the question.

Technically my answer according to the compound question should be : non-calvinist.

The real question should be:

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

Yes, whether God merely accepts/rejects himself or whether people actually accept God through the special conviction and enabling of the HS; whether we are automatons or whether we are people made in the image of God with an actual will.

That also depends on how these are defined. God does everything from reaching out to us, providing a means of salvation, etc...yet He requires faith. It's not an either / or, it's both.
