Saul of Tarsus had a zeal for God. He didn't 'hate' Christ, he was ignorant of the fact that Christ was God and perceived Christ's sect as heretical and sought to eradicate a threat. But God, Who separated Paul from his birth, brought him into the fold WHEN it was His good pleasure to do so. I guess that fact fails to impress you.

No, the moment someone is regenerated, they love God. Saul of Tarsus hated all those who called upon the name of Christ. Why? He hated Christ, God's Son. He, by not worshipping Christ whilst living as Saul, showed he hated Christ, and consequently, God, too.

You are saying someone is regenerated yet persecuting the Lamb's bride. Those who are regenerated love God and His ppl, and will not persecute them.

Him stating God separated him from his mother's womb means God had chosen him for the job he was to do, but that does not = regeneration. He showed no sign of it prior to the Damascus road meeting with Christ.

Okay, let's take a look at this bloke...
o-JIHAD-JOHN-570.jpg
...now let's insert him into the Acts 9 passage.

Meanwhile, Jihad John was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Jihad John, Jihad John, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Jihad John asked.“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Look at what Jesus said..."Why do you persecute Me?" To persecute the bride of Christ is to persecute Christ. There was no difference in the manner at which one Saul of Tarsus was handling God's ppl than the way Jihad John did. Only thing was that Saul of Tarsus was chosen and Jihad John left to his own destruction.

No way was Saul of Tarsus regenerated prior to his meeting with Christ on the Damascus road. He was persecuting Christ, and you say he loved Him? Srsly?
