There are Six clear contextual factors that define the identity of "Mystery Babylon."

First, She is not secular government as she rides on the very symbols the bible uses to describe secular governments.

Second, She is identified with a current city that was at the time of writing ruled over the world - v. 17.

Third, In her all the prophets and apostles have fallen since the world began.

Fourth, she continues to exist up to the final "hour" before the second Coming of Christ.

Fifth, she is identified with the seven headed beast in an illicit relationship and her seat of power has always been and always will be with the current ruling world government.

Sixth, she is identified as "Mystery Babylon" rather than literal Babylon.

I believe she represents false/apostate religion beginning Cain and after the flood formed an illicit relationship with the first secular world government - Babel. Her seat of power always remains with a one world ruling government. False religion spread into all nations with the confusion of tongues at Babel and all secular governments have been religious governments. In Daniel's day she was in Babylon, then her seat of power moved to Media/Persia and then to Greece and at the time of John the seat of power had moved to Rome (Rev. 17:18). Afterwards, she clothed herself in the religion of Roman Catholicism as her continued seat of rule and reign over the world. was adopted by Roman Catholic Rome and has remained there until the 18th Century.

Babylon rides the resurrected antichrist. In what way is the kingdom of antichrist secular?

I noticed your "millerite" subheading. At least Miller admitted he was wrong on his prediction. Unfortunately, Ellen White and Russell who shared some of Miller's errors never did admit their errors and grave errors they made and still make.

I simply submitted my view. I am not interested in entering endless debates about symbols. I give lots of room for brethren to disagree with each other in this area except when it comes to obvious and serious errors (as those held by Miller, White and Russell).

At least I gave contextual based reasons for my summary statement but I notice you just assert your view as though everyone believes that to be true. Perhaps, you have provided arguments elsewhere in this thread for your position. I don't believe your view is true but I am willing to allow you to remain in your error. Carry on!

Thanks! This is an area where I give large area for good brethren to disagree. Now, if someone denies the visible coming of Christ, or embraces such eschatalogical nonsense as Miller, White and Russell and other cultic view (e.g. SDA- Sunday as mark of the beast garbage) well that is another matter altogether as that is just plain nonsense and serious false doctrine.

Yes. I regard the arguments set forth in the four short videos on page one to be irrefutable.

I took a quick look but I can't find any exposition of Revelation 17:5. All I found was news video's on the U.S. takeover of Venezuela. Your interpretative view of the beast, seven heads, harlot seems to be simply your assertion based on nothing that I can see.

So you refuse to see roughly 25 evangelicals having access to the President daily being representative of an apostate church openly approving of a murderous, presumptuous regime with a global reach?

I fail to see why a Biblicist can't see the appalling hypocrisy of such transparent sanctimoniousness.

Your kind of interpretative method is absurd if this is your evidence to interpret Revelation 17!!!

If you were living during the 3rd Reich when Hitler was working with Rome you would have Germany as the Great Whore. You can't interpret scripture by the daily news.

I made several points about Babylon. First one is this thread's title: Babylon The Great Is A Murderous, Presumptuous Regime With A Global Reach.

And the proof of that claim was the very first line of the opening post: "And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth" (Revelation 18:24).

Furthermore, it should be admitted that the roughly 25 evangelicals that have access to President Trump every day (video #4) might be representative of an apostate church that openly approves of a murderous, presumptuous regime. So please explain why a Biblicist can't see the appalling hypocrisy of such transparent sanctimoniousness.

I cited Scripture to support the thesis that Babylon is an apostate church. If an apostate church joins herself to an oppressive, undemocratic shadow government that thrives on coercion as well as deception, then how is that church innocent of the crimes of that false prophet power?

She is apostate religion in union with secular governments and has been since the tower of Babel. Catholicism is nothing but the inclusion of pagan apostate religion and became the state religion from the time of Constantine to the early 19th century. Although her seat of power has moved from one world government to one world government. America is not the one world government at this time. I think her seat of power still resides in Rome and may transition to a yet future ten kingdom one world government.

I didn't say that America is a one world government. I said that our shadow government is the world's only undisputed hegemonic power and that it has a global reach.

It's true that the Reich Church and Rome cooperated with the 3rd Reich. But regardless of how perfectly they cooperated with each other, they didn't have a global reach.

That's what I'm trying to tell you but you don't seem able to recognize it when it's staring you in the face. Babylon's union with secular governments is explained as spiritual adultery. That's precisely the influence the CIA has with leaders in governments all over the world.

I've heard it said that impending events always cast their shadow as a warning before the prophesied event takes place. So maybe we should all heed the warning.

    1 Corinthians 6:16
Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.”
