Okay, seriously, been in NC visiting father in law and this is first I heard about it. I would agree mayor could be held culpable for restricting police enforcement which would have possibly kept things more in line.
Its been an increasing trend to allow rioters space. No question the politics of race are a factor.

CNN have interviewed several people from the neighborhood where the rioting is occurring and they've all said the rioters are imported.
