RD2, My advice for you, for what it's worth, ....continue to love your daughter. Maybe...just maybe, she is being true to the way she was made. To be openly gay in this culture, takes a lot of God-given guts.

John, I'd have to disagree with you in part. Of course he should love his daughter. I also don't think gay people wake up one day and decide "Hey, I want to be gay". Homosexuality may very well be the result of factors outside of a person's control such as upbringing, environmental factors, and even genetics. I just don't know. However, that still does not override God's clear statements in His inerrant word that homosexual actions are sinful. For example, a homosexual person may avail himself of God's prevenient grace and come to faith in Christ and still be "gay" in the sense of having same-sex attraction, but choosing not to act on those disordered urges. I think we need to be careful to make a distinction between temptation and actual sin.
