It is my understanding, the Greek term for "baptism" without other qualifications, I understand it to refer to water baptism.

Passages which do not solely use the term meaning immersion without some other type of qualification, I understand can refer to other than water immersion.

It has been my understanding the passages referenced in my OP baptists have disagreed whether or not they refer to water immersion.
My understanding is that baptizo was a common word for immersion. The context would tell the reader what the object would be immersed into. It could be water or any other element into which something could be immersed.

In the Bible, therefore, the believer might be symbolically immersed into Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Water, in that context, would not be the element into which the object is immersed.

There is the famous example of the instructions for making Pickles written in koinon Greek where the cucumber was "dipped" into boiling water, then "immersed" in vinegar.

For we all have been baptized by the same Spirit to me refers to the Holy Spirit act at conversion, not when dunked in the water!

Do you have scripture that backs up your claim. In the New Testament receiving the Holy Spirit was where others who already have the Spirit, lays there hands on you.In other words they were saved first then after that they could receive the Spirit by the laying on of hands.

That was for unique and special situations of the Samaritans and Gentiles also now being receiving Jesus as Lord! Not normative for all time...

In other words no you have no scripture that proves the Holy Spirit enters us the moment we are saved. I'm not saying it's impossible but I'd like to know where the idea comes from. Is it just man's idea or is it scriptural. If not then we are thinking a head of God as if we know what He will do next.

The very moment one trusts in Jesus as their Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit indwells us, cannot be saved if not sealed and indwelt by Him!

I believe we are indwelt by the Spirit and Jesus Christ Him Self. I admit we receive Christ the moment we believe. but I've never read where the Holy Spirit enters us at the same time. For me it was the laying on of hands in baptism. The holy Spirit is not the Savior but is the Comforter and He came in after Jesus.

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

This verse has nothing to do with salvation. This verse has everything to do with the believer who is walking in such a path that Christ is not being recognized by the believer. The world has caught the believers eye.
Think of Lot and how the angels of God knocked on his door in Sodom. Had Lot not opened the door, Lot would have experienced the same thing the Sodomites experienced, even though Lot was redeemed.

Romans 8:9, ". . . if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
2 Corinthians 13:5, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, . . ."
1 John 5:12, ". . . he that hath not the Son of God hath not life."

The Holy Spirit convicted me, one of God's elect, of my sin. I repented, the Holy Spirit baptized me into the body of Christ and sealed me into God's family.

Some years later, I was baptized by immersion in water to give public testimony to what God had done for me. By His grace, He gave me the gift of eternal life.

I'm really concerned about your understanding of the scriptures. I'm not judging you just concerned for you. You do not agree with Romans 8:9 Rev 3:20 That the spirit of Christ dwells with in all Christians if not then scripture says we are none of His. Maybe in the heat of the argument you misspoke.

Only because you ignore context.
If i said roses are red you'd say they are yellow. This is how different we are. I have Christ in my heart. you might say no it's the Holy Spirit when actually both dwell with in the heart of a Christian. You disagree just to be disagreeable

The context is the Church of Laodicea. yet the verse is personal
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Note," if any man hear my voice" This little phrase makes it Personal for any man. If we hear His "voice and open the door" He will come into the man. You seem blind to the truth here or maybe you see it and just can bring your self to admit it.

Nope.
But, if you claim a verse means something it doesn't, I will correct you.
The passage in Revelation is for the church at Laodicea. Christians who are acting worldly. The verse has nothing to do with the unsaved.
