I was pulled under the bridge by someone who wrote the following:
“...we have Baptists, who can stand up and boldly say, that neither the King James Version nor any other version of the Bible, is God’s Word.”

I believe that the KJV IS the Word of God as He wants us to have it in our generation.
Bible version preference is not defined by generation. It is defined by the individual Christian and how the Lord leads him or her.LOL! "In our generation" is funny. The KJV is certainly not for this generation. The NIV and other Bible translations of the last 30 plus years(a biblical generation) are much more suitable for today's generation.

Which begs the question: How many listen to the Holy Spirit when they choose a version to read and study?
-- Which one is on special this week?
-- Which cover matches my personality? (Camo cover, pink jewels - to mention 2)
-- What does Joel Olsten use?
-- Which one has the best leather binding?
-- Which one is the most popular?
-- Which one will fit my whatever electronic gadget?
Stop by Lifeway sometime and just look at the shelves. Sales and marketing techniques are easy to spot when you know how they are used to lure so many folks to bite an apple.
I'm thankful and glad to see that the other three questions on that poll have 0% of agreement here on our Baptist Board...Amen?

The biggest problem in the church today is not the number of versions. It's that nobody is reading them.
I use the KJV and the HCSB daily, and I agree with Amy's statement above 100%.
I use the KJV and ASV1901 most of the time. I agree with Friend of God on Amy's statement, 100 per cent.
I use the KJV and NASB.....daily.
