There's probably never enough time to give thanks for what we have.
So what are you thankful for this year? I'd love to see this thread fill up before Thanksgiving Day, fill with people looking back on this year and sharing the good things about life!
I'll start it off.
1. Our church now has a building and we're in walking distance. I've always thought that it would be neat to live that close to where you attend, but when we joined we had no idea the new building would be right next to where we live!
2. My oldest daughter has a really beautiful and tender heart when it comes to the things of Christ. It's true, there is NO greater joy than watching your child walk with Christ.
3. My doctor put me on new medication and, at least for the time being, it allows me to function on a daily basis with a lot less pain than in the past, meaning I can work on a more regular basis.
4. I love my work! When the paper I had spoken with and hoped to work for when we moved here went under and then things topped off with my vision going downhill I was pretty ticked, but what I get to do now (working in the school system and writing on the side) is very fulfilling. I learned that what I wanted was not what I needed, and learned that what I needed is now what I want. It's a cool place to be. (but doesn't pay the same)
5. My. Husband. Rocks! The guy is plain nuts. He makes my coffee in the morning, drives everyone everywhere, puts up with my mood swings, is perfectly willing to run out in the middle of the night to go buy nasal spray, and still manages to look good through it all. I'm still trying to figure out why God let me have this one. LOL This man is definitely more than I deserve.
Like my second child is fond of saying, "Mom, you're SPOILED!"
Guilty as charged.
