No. Not interested in seeing it. I don't need to see it to appreciate the atrocity either. Separating a person's head from their body is brutal and savage. Seeing it happen isn't going to make me think any differently.

Forgive my morbid curiosity. (public poll)

I have seen a few of them... and I am totally repulsed horrified and now afraid to die that way as a result. I can't bring myself to watch these kind of videos anymore knowing it is real and it is my brother or sister. I literally get sick. And I feel sick the more I see "The 21" on my facebook page. I love those guys and what they did and what they stood for. The world was not worthy of them and they totally conquered.

Do you watch these videos? (no judgment if you do or don't, btw)

I have not seen any and don't intend to do so. However, I sometimes wonder if my faith is as strong as that of these 21 or the 4 boys beheaded in Iraq. As Christians we have been uniquely blessed in this country. Are we stronger or weaker as the result, I don't know but I wonder.

No.

They want us to watch the video so we will be terrified of them.

I refuse to play that game.

If it becomes important for me to see the video, I will watch it, but it will likely harden me toward them. I don't need to hate evil people.

Truth be told, you'd probably be afraid to die most any way if you watched a video of it. I saw the pilot burned alive this morning. Is that supposed to be better? Even though it is a fake movie, have you ever seen "Sanctum"? I don't think you could and not be afraid of drowning afterwards. Most people think that a bullet to the head is quick and painless but have you ever seen a video of it happening? It's horriffic.

People who say they aren't afraid to die are idiots. Maybe they're not afraid of being dead, but typically the dying process isn't exactly real pleasant.

Not afraid to die, but terrified of many ways I might. In my sleep please

isn't it like cuttin the head off a chicken? Don't they use a knife? You hit the cardioid & its over instantly.
Around here we wring the head off of a chicken. There is a art to it. You have to keep your wrist stiff and wring from your elbow down.

Here's what gets me---I've noticed of the captured--that---no one is struggling----no resistance is being offered

If it were me---and they had me and was fixing to behead me----there WOULD be a struggle----I may die----but not without offering some sort of struggle----some type of resistance-----when they are through beheading me----they would all know that they just beheaded a MAN!!!!

My epitaph would read something like

In his death----he struggled to live!!

The testimonies of those who witnessed the death of Christian martyrs through the centuries has been no resistance.

A better epitaph would go something like this: Even in death he honored Christ.

What about the Scripture which says:

"Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies." (Ps. 139:21,22 NIV)

Amen. Resistance is the result of fear. Yet Jesus said do not fear those who can kill the body but cannot kill the soul. And we have not received a spirit of fear, but one by which we call out "Abba, Father"

And we have been called for the very purpose of suffering with Christ. He suffered, leaving us an example to follow

Could it be that they had been drugged?

I have not watched any of the videos, so my comment is written somewhat in ignorance of the event.

You mean as in------Uriah the Hittite?? In the heat of battle!!!

or to die like King David-----chilled to the bone??? No way they could warm up his numbness!!! Not even a good looking servant girl held up close could spark life!!!

Its possible---but why waste good herion(pun intended---I have no use for herion or any other drug of sorts) on someone fixin' to die??

My drug of preference would be a Camel cigarette----filterless!! It took the "edge" off of many American "Yanks" as they recalled the wreckage/carnage of the battlefield they left 5 minutes before!!!

Am I reading some of these comments in that we (Christians) should not resist our radical Muslim enemy..., or have I scanned the comments too quickly and missed something?

How could you possibly object to the above?

I think you understood me perfectly well. Check out John Foxe's Book of Martyrs. It will substantiate what I have said.

I am not talking about the battlefield at all.

How do you take Peter's words?

1Peter 2
20 For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.

21 For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,

22 who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth;

23 and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

25 For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls

This is the biblical CALL for every believer, to suffer with Christ. This is the Predestined path of the Elect.

But many are called, and few are chosen. NOT every believer is one of the elect. The Elect have been Predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ, the True Elect One.

Rom 8:17 says we are joint-heirs with Christ IF we suffer with Him. This is what Jesus meant in Matthew 10:22 "whoever endures to the end will be saved"

Paul said in 2Timothy 2:12 that if we endure, we will reign with Christ.

Don't shrink back from your call. Pick up your cross and follow Him

Share the Sufferings of Christ

1Peter 4:

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation. 14 If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; 16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner? 19 Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.

Except myself----all other BB members seem to be more than obliged to lay down their weapons(in the physical sense) at the feet of islam------(which is literally an anti-Christ)

But I want to tell readers something-----if I know there is a band of them coming after me and I knew they were going to set fire to me---or axe my head---or cut off one pinky at a time till there was nothing left of me to cut off-------

I will stand up and fight them with every fiber of my being---and exhaust every known energy I have in the effort to defeat the ones who wish to capture me and kill me because of my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ!!! If I am captured----I will exhaust every effort to escape-----I'm not going to sit there and let some hell bound half cocked lamebrain do to me what they've done to others----no sir!!!

Then if they do manage to kill me----I will leave this world for the world to come with the chopping block being my battlefield!!!
