Believing Into Christ based on God crediting your faith as righteousness

John 3:18
“The one who believes into Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed into the name of the uniquely divine Son of God.

What aspects of Christ's attributes are in view here? As Lord and Savior!

If you review Romans 4:19-22 you will see that Abraham actually believed God would fulfill His promise (that he would be the father of many nations, Romans 4:18) which resulted in God crediting Abraham's faith as righteousness.

And, if you continue reading, Romans 4:23 and following, you see the action of God crediting faith as righteousness was not only for Abraham's benefit, but also for the future benefit of those who believe God raised Jesus from the dead, and believe Jesus was sacrificed for our wrongdoings, and believe His sacrifice provided justification into eternal life. Or in other words, the name of Jesus Christ, or as John put it, the name of the uniquely divine Son of God.

The gospel of Christ!

What might it take to have our faith, as flawed as it may be, to be credited as righteousness?

Do we need to understand and believe all the right things and none of the wrong things?

Do we need to be so committed to Christ we are willing to physically die for Him?

Did Peter understand Christs gospel and the Law of Liberty?

Was Peter's love of Christ "agapao" (sacrificial) or "phileo" (relational)?

God knows our heart, and knows the believer from the phony.

The version that translates "eis" as into rather than as "in" which is a different Greek proposition.

But more than that, why are you not addressing the topic, but rather seeking to change the subject?

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name
John 3:18 He who believes into Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:36 He who believes into the Son has eternal life; but he who disobeys the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him

How many more published verses would you like me to cite before you give up on your effort to derail the thread and deny scripture.

And those who can receive Jesus thru and by saving Faith are the ones chosen in Him and granted regeneration and saving faith then by the Holy Spirit

Would it not be easier for everybody just to name the translation you mean? Not doing so makes it seem as though you are unwilling t do so. I stress that I am not saying that you are unwilling, just that saying "The version that translates "eis" as into rather than as "in" " instead of simply naming the version gives that impression.

On and on, these empty suits post off topic to change the subject, to hide the truth of Romans Chapter 4, and the fact God credits the faith of some as righteousness and based on that discernment, transfers those individuals INTO Christ.

Off topic, unless you are so ignorant you did not know John repeatedly uses "believers into Him" in his gospel. Are we to suppose you do not know how to goggle, or use a Reverse Interlinear, or a Lexicon?

Lets see if you have a shred of integrity, how does a lost person, separated from God due to his or her unholiness go from being in the realm of darkness to being "in Christ." Romans 3:24, Romans 16:7, 1 Corinthians 15:22

The answer of course is that they believed into Him, which refers to God's action of transferring them into Christ based on crediting their faith as righteousness.
