Mysword.

Get free modules for it here.

Hundreds of commentaries, dictionaries, books &c for free plus many Bible versions.

I made an ESV app for ours since it is not available due to the publisher not granting permission. We use mysword on our phones and tablets, all are android. If you want to know more about the ESV for this app PM me.

IF you have logos, they have a mobile app that allows access to your modules when online. Mysword is the best I've found however and the free modules are very useful.

I find it absolutely amazing that we can keep all of our Bibles, study guides and commentaries just on our phone!! What a crazy world we live in (and very convenient!).

Personally, I find Logos is not to my liking. I mean, I have a hard time navigating it.

thanks for the suggestions. If anybody has any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I like what I see so far.

Try the free ones and get a sense of what you like and don't like. I have five on my iPad that all offer different things I like. Faithlife Study Bible, GloBible, Pocket Sword, Logos and Tecarta.

FaithLife has NIV Study bible notes, added NRSV text

GloBible has lots of interactive items, maps, notes, timelines, videos

Pocket Sword has the Net Bible with notes

Logos has tons of commentaries, language tools and other resources

Tecarta for text only

where are the commentaries in Logos? I see Logos has pricey stuff...are they trying to sell me paper books?

When you buy for Logos, you buy digital and it is added to your library. It can be pricey depending on what you buy. Once you build up a library, the ability to search is unmatched except for perhaps Accordance. They often have sales or offer packages of books, but it is an investment, no doubt.

When saying text only, I meant that it only came with the bible text, no notes. You can do various things with the text as you mentioned, which of course can be very useful.

ok. my wife figured out a way to "side load" mysword onto my Kindle. She had to also install an app called Easy Installer. She had to install Easy Installer first....this allows you to side-load mysword. You must allow "Third Party Apps".
