Top 5 best for me:

Knowing God - J.I. Packer

The Religious Affections - Jonathan Edwards

Studies in the Sermon on the Mount - D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

The Pilgrims Progress - John Bunyan

The Way to True Happiness - Robert Harris

(Some really good recent books: Slave - John MacArthur Jr; Christ Among other Gods - Erwin Lutzer; Counterfeit Gods - Timothy Keller; The Sovereignty of God - A. W. Pink; Joy Unspeakable - D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones)

Worst Christian book of all time that I've read:

Dealing with the Devil - C. S. Lovett

(I believe this was required in college to the best of my memory)

- Blessings

There are so many good books out there and I agree with many on your lists.

The worst for me are the two books from the Pearls - To Train Up A Child and Created to be His Helpmeet. Seriously, I want to smack anyone who thinks that they are good books.

Another bad book that I recently read was Heaven is For Real

Honestly, I'd just ignore these books but so many think they are SOOOO wonderful and I seriously :BangHead:

Nice list Icon.

Part of the reason for this thread is so I can get a list of some good books from people I trust, and Lord willing read them myself.

One of the best for me is Knowing God by JI Packer

The worst is The Shack by Young

Sad to say that some Christian leaders seem to think the Shack is a worthwile book to read, never knew bad theology would be so recommended!

Another BAD book is latest one by Robb Bell!

Sure you did, you knew they would turn their ears from truth to fables -- and God is judging them with these false authors and false teachers and preachers who teach heresy, myths and fables as judgment upon them - 2 Timothy 4:1-5...'and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.'

And that was starting even during the lives of the Apsotles, as Jude/paul/Peter/John all warned them to "watch out!"
