I've yet to find one media outlet that isn't calling for this guy's head before any or all of the facts are out yet. Sorry if I don't really buy this.

I'm not saying that he's not guilty. I haven't said that. To the contrary, actually.

Still not sure what that has to do with what I said.

You commented on my post and so I responded with the links. Honestly, I saw the film on the news last night and thought "This was not a guy who was just beaten." Honestly, I think that Zimmerman overreacted and he will be brought to justice once all the facts are in. But time will tell.....

watch this video, especially aroung the 5, 5:30 mark. The video released sure looks altered to me! Notice how his face is blurred out when he turns sideways, how his head is shaded in, the enormous gash at 5:30 that is quickly shaded in, the blurring of the back of his jacket, etc. Ironic the pictures of the cops are as clear as can be except when right next to Zimmerman. Something extremely fishy is going on with this case!

I'm sorry but I don't see any "enormous gash" on his head. Had there been an "enormous gash" that I believe his lawyer said "should have been stitched", his head would still be weeping and in a bandage. However, he was taken care of by the fire department and didn't need to go to the hospital, from my understanding.

What you see is typical low resolution video. It does all sorts of things. We just watched our pastor on video this week that was a lower resolution than it should have been and we saw this sort of thing over and over again by his glasses. This man was balding and there was glare on his head - you can see it on the bald cop as well. I don't see any messing with this video and my hubby who has done significant video editing agreed with me.

The problem I have with that is the report their cameras were not low resolution.

What report is that? I cannot find anything on the kind or quality of the Sanford Police Department's surveillance cameras.

He grew an awful lot of hair from the time he got out of the cruiser until they took his mug shot. Change of clothes, too.

Which mug shot? If it's the one where he's wearing orange (where yes, his hair is longer) that's from a prior arrest for attacking an officer.

I've seen the video. Typical CCTV low-res stuff but a head wound of that magnitude would nevertheless have shown up pretty clearly. No sign of anything. Zip. Nada

There seems to be a misconception here.

A legal claim of self defense does not require head wounds of great magnitude.

It doesn't even require that one be physically struck.

It only requires that the force used in self defense is reasonable in the situation.

If an attacker has his victim pinned to the ground by sitting on him and is striking the victim about the head and face and is hitting the victims head against the ground it may be reasonable for the victim to shoot his attacker.

It is up to the prosecuters office to make the determination based on the facts - which are still being gathered in this case.

And now we see the fruits of Al Sharpton's labor. The people who hyped this story now have blood on their hands. And this happened in Booby Rush's 'hood.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...shot-killed-near-home-20120329,0,667576.story

At least two people were killed and 11 others wounded in violence across Chicago overnight, most of the victims from just two shootings on the West and South sides, according to police.

Suspects were being questioned in one of the shootings, the killing of a man near his home on the Far South Side, officials said.

The worst shooting occurred around 6 p.m. Thursday when two men in hooded sweatshirts opened fire inside a convenience store in the 1400 block of West 79th Street in the Gresham neighborhood, police said.
One man was killed and five others were wounded. The victims ranged in age from 16 to 24.

The gunmen fled in an SUV and police continued searching for them this morning.

About four hours later, four people were standing in a parking lot in the 4100 block of West Roosevelt Road when a black car drove up and gunfire rang out.

A 29-year-old man was shot in the arm, a second man the same age was shot in the leg, a 27-year-old man was shot in the leg and a 36-year-old man was shot in the thigh, police said. They were all taken by a friend to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

The gunman's car fled west on Roosevelt Road and north on Keeler Avenue, police said.

Other shootings:

-- A 31-year-old man was shot and killed across the street from his home on 113th Place between State Street and South Michigan Avenue, police said. David Gulley, 31, was pronounced dead at Roseland Community Hospital about 5:10 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office said.....

Thanx a lot.
