Based on his account, how could he?
If he saw the young man coming back at him, it wouldn't have been hard.

Annsni, you are making a lot of assumptions about what happened in the incident.
We simply don't know enough about the details to know what Zimmerman could or could not have done in the situation.
He stated in the 9-11 call that the boy had run off and that he would be at his car waiting for the police. That is not how it ended. Why did he not get into his car and wait for the police?
As was already pointed out, Zimmerman stated that as he was walking back to his he was attacked.
You are assuming that he was at his car when he called 911.
The possible scenario is that he was some distance from his car when he called 911, the dispatcher told him not to follow Trayvon, he started to walk back to his car, Trayvon turned and followed Zimmerman, and then assaulted Zimmerman before he got back to his car.
But as I said, we don't have the details.
You forgot to include some laughing smileys after your comment, so we'd all know you were just kidding around.Need any more evidence that women shouldn't be voting or otherwise involved in civil government? Judgements like these ????

Because otherwise -- well, otherwise, we'd have to assume your wife wears a burkha.
Right - We don't have the details but I'll bet ...
And that sums it up right there: "I'll bet".
Right - We don't have the details but I'll bet there is more to this story than Zimmerman states. Unfortunately, the other best eyewitness is dead.
There is another eyewitness.
Yep - And you have as much of an "I'll bet" as I do.
How do you know? I haven't expressed any opinion on this thread.
Oh I know, you'll "bet".
I'm sure there will be more but I find it interesting that it takes some a full month to come forward. That makes no sense to me. Why are they waiting?

If you have an opinion, I'm SURE you have an "I'll bet" ....
And if I did, by golly I'd insist everyone sign a petition agreeing with me!
Right. Because we all know the best things we as citizens can do for our country and to be sure justice prevails is to sit by idly and let government officials handle it all. They do, after all, get it right all the time so we shouldn't involve ourselves in the procedure. That's not our job, our right, or our duty as American citizens.
It is not our job as citizens to demand the charging of a crime against an individual.
There are judical processes that are responsible for that.
At this point you and I do not have the necessary information to state that Zmmerman should be charged.
