Biblical Human Will Limitations

"The absence of free will is, however, devastating to all theists since without it you cannot choose to be evil or good, and therefore deserve neither punishment nor salvation."
The concept of “free will” was introduced by satan when he told Eve she would be “like God, knowing good and evil”.

To be “like God” with respect to knowing good and evil must mean you have the ability, with every choice, to chose good rather than evil. It cannot mean you can chose good sometimes.

To say there is a “partial or limited” free will is akin to saying jumping in a lake will make you partially wet or dying makes you partially dead.

It is a lie of Satan.

peace to you

Utterly false unbiblical doctrine. The claim some lost people cannot choose good without having been "enabled by irresistible grace" is false. Matthew 23:13 teaches some lost people can be seeking to enter the kingdom, yet have not been "enabled by irresistible grace." Those that advocate for this Satanic lie of total spiritual inability are false teachers.

And note my view is "limited free will" yet the poster addresses "free will." Tell tail of an off the shelf argument.

What do you mean by "limited free will"? Limited to what degree?

Our ability to make choices from among various options can be restricted by God for His purpose, thus the Biblical doctrine is "Limited Free Will."

Are we free to believe the gospel if we have not heard and understood the gospel? Nope so our choices are limited

Are we free to believe the gospel if our heart has been hardened by God or our practice of sin? Nope so our choices are limited.

Matthew 13 soil #1 was not free to believe. The folks hardened in Romans 11 were not free to believe. Certainly all the people who lived and died without ever being exposed to the gospel were not free to believe in the gospel.

Limited free will is the biblical doctrine, total spiritual inability is unbiblical per Matthew 23:13 and many other passages.
