So...if I find a liberal that is a child molester, can I accuse you of being one too?

A conservative doing so wouldn't surprise me. Besides, I didn't say you, personally, are like Governor Sanford.

OK, here's my problem with Ken's line of thinking:

He can find a conservative that is obviously a serial adulterer (Sanford--whose behavior I cannot and will not defend). So therefore, conservatism is bad.

Yet a liberal, such as John Edwards, does that much and worse...and yet Ken does not leave liberalism.

Like I said...intellectual dishonesty.

I'm not from Alaska, so I don't know what her platform was, but what if she accomplished all of the goals she ran on?

Then all the more reason to stay! Elected office is not a task-based system. You don't resign after you complete a checklist.

I don't think she should have quit, but she did. So the question now isn't "should she or shouldn't she", but "is her quitting acceptable". I believe it's unfortunate, but acceptable.

Better to have a Republican governor resign to run, than a bunch of Democrat Senators hold on to their office, but refuse to show up for eighteen months while they're busy campaigning.

But at least you didn't spam us with more bluegrass threads.
true, no one ever cares if these people run for president and never show up at their current job, getting paid to keep campaigning.

Palin isn't quitting.

She's is just moving from the minor leagues to play in the big leagues, but she's still in the game.

Good for her. I hope she wins.

peace to you:praying:

If the GOP nominates Sarah Palin for president in 2012 she will be crushed at the polls in November 2012, pushing the GOP even further from power.

Maybe it will be a good thing if she does run for president. :)

You forget about McCain who was also a Senator running for office. And even if they didn't show up, they still had active staff and voted if for nothing else the TARP. With the volatile state of the world today, I thought one would appreciate a politician who can multi task???

And you know he forgot how? One has nothing to do with the other.
