Calvinism vs Arminianism? Why either/or? Why not both?

It's not a lie. And you are still trying to distract away from my point because you clearly know you are in the wrong and too arrogant and proud to admit it. Don't worry, I had a systematic theology professor just like you.
It doest mean "I use the bible" = "I am 100% right." Which is the claim that yourself and many others have made.
That is a lie. I have never said any such thing. Time to apologize.

First, does someone claiming that they are right because they claim to "use the bible" make them right? Yes or no
Stop trying to dodge the issue. You claimed

Either post a quote from me making such a claim or admit you lied and apologize.

Did you delete my last post?

Somebody deleted two of your posts. I saw them an hour ago. They were posted right after you thanked Squire Robertson for alerting us that the thread would be closed in 6 hours. Your first post started out, "Since this thread is going to be closed soon, I'd like to say..."

Yep...no doubt the work of TCassidy. A stellar way for a "retired pastor" to be above reproach.

I made the following statements in this thread......
"Calvinism" teaches that God chose to save certain individuals, before the foundation of the world, to the exclusion of all the rest.
This may not have been worded exactly as TCassidy would have it worded, but this is essentially what "particular redemptionists" aka "Calvinists" teach. And my second statement was this.......

And the trouble with "Arminianism"(among other things I'm sure) is that a person can be saved, then later lost again. I reject them BOTH as false doctrines.
This is absolutely true as well. According to "Arminianism" a believer CAN lose their salvation. So why is the above not a "correct" description?
  • Eternal security is also conditional: All believers have full assurance of salvation with the condition that they remain in Christ. Salvation is conditioned on faith, therefore perseverance is also conditioned.[25] Apostasy (turning from Christ) is only committed through a deliberate, willful rejection of Jesus and renunciation of saving faith. Such apostasy is irremediable.[26] Arminianism - Wikipedia

Both of which you obviously don't understand. Neither of your descriptions are correct.

So when TCassidy makes the above statements and I tell him that he is being dishonest(with a little emoticon as he often does) my post gets deleted for making a "provocative statement" . Why can TCassidy make rude and unkind posts and accuse people of "lying" but no one can do the same in return?
