I have brought up before how Calvinist do not preach from the heart what they actually believe from the mind. This man points out the glaring problems with Calvinism when trying to speak to a lost person. You can see the Spirit speak out the truth here and there when John is not cautious, but the Calvinist mind in him resist and transgresses back to it's faulty theology. It's like a struggle between the Spirit and the Mind, and he doesn't even realize what is happening through him.

First of all Kevin Thompson is known for bearing false witness in his videos. Do you intend to stand by his comments steaver?

False witness in what way? I did not see anything false in this particular video.

at one minute he calls Dr. MacArthur...this guy showing respect?....at 2;30 he mentions limited atonement. as if every sentence a Calvinist speaks must include a commentary on the L.
Nothing says Christ death saves anyone, at the 5-minute mark.?? he offers his lame take on it...

I have listened to several of his videos as painful as that was, because he makes caricature, after caricature.I have commented on a view of them and have some discussions going with his followers.

At the 9 minute mark he does not understand the L in tulip so he goes on speaking of double jeopardy,
he at 10 minutes says people do not go to hell for sins???? Maybe he needs to glance at jn8:24.
At 10-12 he shows how biblically inept he is, no concept of a Covenant salvation

I think he says they don't go to hell to pay for their sins. Which I would agree, they go there because they have rejected the Holy Ghost/God.

at 14 minutes he clearly says Jesus has died for sinners...he clarified it by saying Jesus died for sinners....like Paul said it:
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

At the 24 minute mark he clarifies quite clearly all the sins who will ever believe.

There are two points in the video that jumped out at me that I agree with.

1) Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, not just the elect.

2) Why doesn't John speak the truth to what he actually believes? Why doesn't John tell Ben that he may not be one of the elect and that there is NOTHING Ben could do to be one of the elect. God would have to choose him.

"steaver,

that is a position you hold despite biblical evidence

[Why doesn't John speak the truth to what he actually believes?

He is saying what he believes

Why doesn't John tell Ben that he may not be one of the elect

Do you think Ben knows the biblical doctrine of election? Most times with speaking to an unbeliever we keep theological terms to a minimum but lay a foundation first.

and that there is NOTHING Ben could do to be one of the elect.

Election is something God does...so why would any Calvinist say such an awkward thing.

God would have to choose him.
He is saying what he believes. Election took place before the world was...so again no cal would say such a thing.

Describing Kevin Thompson as a weasel is not a caricature, but an accurate description of a handful of such youtube wanna be's who jump on words and twist truth.

Exactly!

"Hey, I have Good News! If God picked you, you are saved from an eternal hell! Otherwise, well, sorry about your luck. Maybe it will be a dry heat."

The problem with your view is that ALL of us deserve a fiery Hell, and we all are choosing to go there apart from the saving Grace of God towards us in Christ Jesus!

His point about bad luck implied that God chose them to go to hell, but we all deserve that fate, so its more that God is gracious towards us who get saved!

That is your spin to make your false doctrine sound better. The truth is your doctrine withholds grace from one while giving it to another. The Bible does't say that but your doctrine does. What the Bible says is everyone has the same grace offered. Those who receive it get it. Those who don't do not.

God did not intend to save all sinners did he?
