I did not mention Barth and he has not been the subject of my op or subsequent conversation.

Barth will not be consulted when we appear before God to give account of ourselves. Therefore, I don't care what Barth taught..
You had quoted Jon C's words about Barth. Then you gave the puzzling :"Vain philosophy. The essence of Calvinism. One must believe the words."

What in the world was one to make of that without a special decoder device?

The moderator said he is closing this thread soon and I would like to say thank you fellows for the conversation and debate on an issue that I think is so important that it needs discussing. I am glad for the relative civility all through the thread. It is my prayer that the wonderful Lord Jesus Christ be high and lifted up and to be glorified by my contribution here and by my attitude. He deserves all our praise and worship because he is worthy. Amen!

I have decided to believe the words of the bible rather than the words Calvinists redefine in order to advance their theological system in order for it to be consistent with that one fundamental doctrine they have put their trust in.
Wow. What a word salad. How would you define predestination, election, the will of man, God's mercy, God's hatred, Acts 13:48 -- just for starters.

Here we have a Calvinist asking a question to imply his opponent holds false doctrine. They get away with this vicious and vindictive vilification over and over again.
Looks like he was he was reading your posts. Nothing wrong with his eyesight.lol

Choose one of those biblical topics and start a new thread and we can discuss it. Choose any of them. I can discuss it because I have read about them all in the scriptures of truth and can contribute. My plan is to start a thread on the subject of the "doctrine," of grace, not the "doctrines" of grace, because grace is something that Calvinists definitely don't know anything about and the bible knows nothing about the doctrines of grace. That has been made up by someone with an over active imagination and followed by men who are illogical and unreasonable and do not believe the words they are reading. Stay tuned and brush up.

Right now, I am turning in.
